Childhood dreams

Postby Valorie » Tue Jul 09, 2013 3:37 am

IANAP (I Am Not A Psychologist) but one thing I noticed talking to several girls at the last DLV was that they had some sort of transgender-themed dream as a child prior to any physical embodiment or crossdressing. Now this was a very small sample so I can't generalize too much given the diversity of people at DLV, but I was curious how much this applies to everyone else out there and if so what were your dreams? This seems like a really fascinating window into our early subconscious that I've never seen explored.

In my case, I remember have vivid dreams where I could change size and gender at will when I was about 6. Combined with the ability to fly this opened up the possibility for all sorts of dream adventures and mischief.

Hi Val,

Yet another topic I want to respond to, and another subject I dearly
love: The psychology of our lifestyle. That must have been wonderful for
you having opposite gender flight dreams at age six. I never had gender
dreams. By age 50, I had inherited some savings in Florida and decided
to open up a small flea market business. I found myself selling antiques
and women's vintage clothing - undergarments, accessories, dresses,
blouses, you name it. I had a happy time selling this stuff to the
ladies on the weekends, and they loved my little shop. Shopping garage
and estate sales for inventory during the week was fun too. After awhile
I found myself trying some of it on late at night in my apartment with
bedsheets draped over the windows and the doors double locked. Stealthy
me; I was deep in the closet. When I ran out of money I gravitated to
Vegas and some years later just decided to get dressed and come on out.
My dream is a future one of being able to stay dressed and out full
time, every day, all day long, and then cruise the bars at night for
woodys too. I am a true trannie ho, never married, single for life.
hahahahaha !! and I am deleriously happy to share this with you. (< % ~

I have a hard enough time remembering my dreams last night, and don't
remember any from the night before. I think for me its also part of my
age too. :-)

But at the same time I do remember some significant ones.

I only remember tg dreams starting from my teens, around the time
puberty begins and the hormones start affecting everything. It was only
after focusing on one or two femme related objects like parts of
clothing, that I remember any significant cd dreams. It can also fit
the definition of a fetish at that time too. I don't remember any
before I started to do this.

Other CDer that I talked to also were similar where they started with
getting one or more femme objects that they were sexually or physically
attractive to them, but didn't mention much about remembering any dream
about it before they started.

Dreams have been studied and interpreting dreams is beginning to become
a field of study. One type are fantasy dreams, another is prophetic
types or deja-vous type that is realized later that one was there in a
dream. There are other dreams that one can be mentally 'awake' in the
dream and still sleeping to explore the scene they are in, and can
control their actions in the dream - consciously walking around and
doing things in a dream as if it was reality.
