For those who possibly missed it -- Saturday evening, we're having an informal Pre-DLV get-together and YOU are invited!

This is at the Neonopolis Denny's, at the corner of Fremont St. and Las Vegas Boulevard.

Now for those who are thinking "Denny's? WTF?", be assured that this is NOT your daddy's Denny's at the expressway exit with chicken fried steak and Moon Over Myhammy, although you can probably get those if you want. This one is a totally different concept.

No specific start time but we expect DLVers to begin arriving between 5:00pm and 6:00pm or so. Meet the group in the bar area. No sign-up, just show up! Very casual to moderately dressy, boymode or girlmode.

Parking is available just north of Fremont Street on the east side of 4th. Street.

This activity and venue should be "safe" for beginners.

Here's a little more detail on parking:

Traveling north on 4th Street, there is one parking garage on your right just before you reach Fremont Street (Fremont Street Experience Parking, $2/hour, max $10). If you pass this up, then just after crossing Fremont, the Neonopolis garage that Annie mentioned is also to your right and is down. (i.e. the entrance ramp runs parallel to 4th. Street and goes down 1 level before a sharp right turn at the bottom.) At the center of the structure is an elevator which you can take to the 1st floor for Denny's or to the 2nd floor for Drink & Drag. This garage costs $1/hour, max $5.

If you choose the first garage (Fremont Street Experience Parking), then when you exit the garage on foot, you just need to walk across Fremont Street to the Neonopolis and Denny's is almost the first thing you see, right on the corner of 4th and Fremont.

I checked both of these out just a week or so ago, so the info should still be accurate.

Thats funny. This is a Dennys with a full liquor bar and you can get married there! I'll be across the street at the D hotel at the hot dog place if you're there b4 7 pm. After that....cya there!

The trip over here from Tucson was just terrible. Windy and horrible
traffic jams in Phoenix. By the time we got into town and got unhitched
we had barely enough strength to eat dinner and then turn in to get a
good night's sleep. There's no way I could have made it to the Denny's.
but it did sound lie fun.
