Unable to Return this year.

Postby Bev » Sat Jan 07, 2012 11:27 am

It is with a heavy heart that I must inform you that, at this time, I will not be able to attend DLV2012. I have been looking forward to this year’s event since I boarded the plane leaving last year’s event. Unfortunately, it is not going to work out for me to get back to Las Vegas in April. Therefore, I will be unable to repeat hosting/co-hosting any of the activities that I was involved with last year; ie: Frank Marino show, Mexican dinner with Rosada, golf outing with Danielle and Mardi, and closing HH/dinner at Bahama Beach. Please feel free to allow other volunteers to assume those roles.
I will miss seeing all of my friends as well and making new ones. To those first timers attending this year, you will enjoy yourself… just be sure to thoroughly read the notices from DLV so you know what to expect. And a word of caution, don’t try to do everything. Allow yourself some downtime, especially later in the week as you will get very tired. And above all, bring comfortable shoes! You will need them.
Thanks to all of the organizers and volunteers for hosting such an outstanding event. I will truly miss it and will hope to be back with you in 2013.
All my love,
Beverly Wayne
PS: if I win the lottery I will be there in a heartbeat!

Hi Bev,

That is sad as I was looking forward to seeing you again? I hope
everything is okay. I am planning on going just waiting for final
approval of my vacation time.

Take care

Hugs

Susan

Beverly,

Allow me to join the throng (not thong) wishing you the best and feeling
sad that you won't joining us this year. Your personality and outgoing
nature were just the tonic we needed at times. My only suggestion is to
get at winning the lottery.

Sarah

I am very disappointed that I won't be able to make it to DLV this year, but it's not in the cards. My wife and I are taking a week vacation to Florida and the earliest she can get away from work is the first week in April. That being the case, I can't turn around and head to Las Vegas just a few weeks later. When we started talking about a winter vacation I was hoping we go to Florida in January or February. But her work schedule wouldn't allow it so we had to push it back to April.
In my mind I am still holding out hope that somehow I might be able to find a way to also make DLV but it doesn't look good. So I thought it best to let the organizers know so that they would have time to let someone else host the events I was associated with.
I was also looking forward to spending some time with all of you as well. I think that is the hardest part, knowing that I won't be seeing the dear friends that I have made there. I guess I should count my blessings as I really didn't think I would be able to repeat last year after attending in 2010. So making it two years in a row was pretty special. But it spoiled me into wanting to go every year. If I could get my wife to attend it would be alot easier on me but she won't.
Anyway, have fun and maybe I will be back in 2013.

And ... {shameless plug} don't forget Pinkfest in October of 2012! :)

So sorry to hear you can't make it to DLV. You were so much fun to be
around last year, lots of laughs.
