Thrift shopping trip.

Thank's Cynthia for arranging such a nice day out for us. I enjoyed
being with you all and I even bought a suit "after trying it on in the
store"...A first for me! I am a relatively new girl on the block
compared to most DLVers and trying dresses n' such on is a nice new
experience for me. A one which I will continue to work on now I have
tried it!

Hi Katie,

So glad you enjoyed it. You bring up something I didn't consider
when I planned it, which was us being able to try on chothes in
the stores, use of the dressing rooms.

In 'Savers', I use the dressing rooms all the time, at least
once a month, in boy or girl mode, it's just a big free-for-all.

In 'Charleston Outlet', they don't even have dressing rooms -
and I really wish we could have gotten to that one, by the
way.

If you would like to take this thing over - The Official DIVA
Thrift Shop Tour - tee hee :) and expand it into something
better for next year, I would welcome that. Moreover, I
would be more than happy to give you any assistance you may
need from the local level here. You just write to me and tell
me what you're thoughts are on this and what I can do to help
you, O.K.?

Another thing I hadn't considered is that not everyone of us
likes to dress when they come out here; many of us just want
to put them jeans and T-shirt on and kick back for the week -
relaxation is what it's all about for some. This was my first
DIVA ever and I made all classic mistakes and wrong assumptions.

Oh well, we got next year, aye?

Cynthia,

I also enjoyed the shopping trip. Some of the prices at the
first place were a bit high I thought but loved the way we
became a close group of shopping women by the end of the trip.

Maybe a lunch? Maybe shopping @ malls? The idea of an organized
shopping trip that takes us away from the strip was a great idea.
