Sharing my good news - off topic

Today I had to fly to the Bay Area of California to see my therapist (I
got incredibly good news too - later)

I went through TSA (I have flight anxiety - oh sod that - I am deathly
afraid to fly so my doctor prescribes me happy pills) and kept setting
off the metal detector. I was dressed in a VERY sweet cocoa brown
Isabella suit with skirt to just below the knee level and embroidered
jacket. This was my biggest fear. Being searched by TSA upon boarding.

Well, I get put in the little Plexiglas cage, and the guy who stops me
turns his back and calls out "Female Assistance" NO ONE called me sir,
no one gave me anything other than genuine respect and even showed some
compassion as they tried to reassure me that everything was fine,
probably just the metal in the buttons of my jacket etc. The young lady
who checked my breast forms etc apologized for having to pat me down
there and I allowed I was glad she was doing that and not me. We joked a
little and got a couple of giggles but it was thorough and done quickly.

I was treated very well, I even stopped by the supervisor and told him
"Excellent job by your team. Thank them for me" and he thanked me for
the compliment. My breast forms were no problem, there was no strip
search, there were no embarrassing questions. It was all professional
and like I indicated before, compassionate about my situation.

I was not going to bring any boi clothing to Vegas. This merely
strengthens my resolve (I learned to take the jacket off on the way back
and send it through the xray machine - nothing to go beep) I have very
little use for boi clothing. When my therapist was told of my run in
this morning he asked me what happened. I told him, told him I actually
did not have a bad time and even felt retty good about. I asked him "So,
Doctor, what do YOU see when you look at me". His reply

"I see you are more than ready to start HRT" I got the go ahead, just
before DLV. Yes, kids, there is a higher power and I think She really
likes me.

Sorry to be so windy, but I just flew home (Left at 5:00 am this morning
and flew back by 9:45 pm tonight Loooong day) and had this incredibly
great news to share.

See you all at DLV

Kynthia
