But seriously ...
You are correct that there's no one-size-fits-all solution, but there
is a very good general case solution.
It involves such things as a trip to the real world, a careful reading
of time, place, and circumstance, and ...
Above all, consideration of others. Others, meaning other t*'s, SO's,
gg's, children, families, tourists, bystanders, anybody, everybody.
At DLV 2004 we had no significant restroom incidents. This wasn't just
luck.
Our people used common sense, consideration, and restraint, didn't
flaunt it, and used restrooms properly when they indeed had to do so.
This was no burden on 95+% of our people.
Of course for the remaining "me-me-me" and "who, me?" types, we had our
hired F to M goons "Guido" and "Lefty" standing by to invite them into
the back room for a "chat" if necessary, but we didn't have to call them
in. :) :)
Yes, some people rolled their eyes and exclaimed "what is this $#!+?"
when we started emphasizing behavior, dress, and restroom issues. Yes,
it was also observed that some of those who professed not to need it
were the ones who needed it the most.
However, the emphasis on B/D/R was effective. We had a very enjoyable
and incident-free DLV 2004.
