Hi Rosada!

I am interested in going there and checking this place out. I agree and
stand with you and would have no problem socializing with the masses, I
think it would be fun. If its really that loud, a perfect femme voice
would be drowned out by the music and other voices, so I wouldn't need a
perfect femme voice. More so after a few beers, if its really good and
tasty and high in the alcohol - voice control and other femme behaviors
may be weakened just a bit.

I would also want to try everything on the menu (both food and beer)
which would mean going more than once. The comments stated a gift
shop. If they sold those Bavarian waitress outfits it would be another
reason for me to go there and buy a outfit for myself.

I gotta admit, those spanking-shots perked my interest. I had mental
images of a 250pd plus, 6ft 5in, german blonde named Heidi with two
ponytails and in good physical shape, bristling with arm muscles
delivering the shot on a tray with one hand, with a big smile, and a
huge paddle in the other, towering above me.

It depends on what the majority wants, to actively engage in socializing
big-time mainstream, or a place to socialize only with ourselves.
However ... the comments did state that there are times that the garden
and hall are (more than half ) empty too, so its not always a large
crowd party 24x7 and it can work both ways. I would think dinner and
evenings would be more crowded than at lunch, and possibly week-nights
being less crowded.

Hi Girls.
As we are just a small group as of now and likely won't exceed the 10 to 20 mark I imagine that not everyone will attend every get together that we plan here so the turnout will not be 50 T girls taking over the place as we often do at DLV. Maybe there will only be 4 or 5 at each gathering who knows?
The Bavarian tavern/ Beer hall sounds great, I have passed there more than a few times and wondered what was inside so now I can find that out in September. I Look forward to seeing as many there as possible.

As this is going to be less of a formal approach we could arrange to meet somewhere in the evenings at the same place like a lounge somewhere such as the 5th floor of the Imperial next to Embers restaurant. **Not specifically there this was just a suggested example**. We used it in April and it is quite pleasant there and easy access from the parking etc' and the drinks are reasonably priced which is a plus.

I thought we might try places ( Where no DLVer has gone before ). and maybe a lesser show of some kind too. I am not a fan of shows which assign us a table where we have to swivel round for 2 hours to watch the performers so I am thinking of The Gordie Brown show or the Country performers show at the Nugget Downtown. They have theater style seating and it is very reasonable in price too, and you can get 2 for one tickets almost anywhere for those shows. The added bonus of being downtown right on Freemont Street gives us the opportunity to do our thing there after the show is over if that is what you all would like to do?
Obviously nothing is set in stone and these are just ideas for now so I would like to hear from you all with a view to doing some semi planning something so we can get things rolling. I am thinking mainstream places only and no gay bars unless someone would like to do their own side trips there. Vegas has atmosphere and a very unique one so we should have fun for a few days.

We are still in the very beginning stages so please feel free to comment good or bad on anything we have come up with till' now. I see no need for signups or formal attendance lists at this point, just be honest and say "Yes I will be there" or in the case of cancellations please let me know if you will not be. I will trust that everyone will do that as a common courtesy!
My E-mail is in my **My DLV profile** if anyone would like to throw some ideas or comments at me.

Hi Girls,

I have been to Octoberfest, in Munich Germany, in the past and the
eating, drinking and singing drown out everything else. If is a truly
german atmosphere and crowd you will have no prolems fitting in no
matter how you are dressed, but if it is Americanized there might be,
however small, little problems. I would first check with the management
and see if they can tell you how receptive their crowd would be to our
TG/CD lifestyle and dress? Second I would find out how well their
security personnel is staffed? Lastly, I would ask what is their slower
night and attend that night first so as to feel the place out. A call to
the local Police Department with questions as to any problems at that
venue in the past, and what they were would be a piece of benificial
info. I am sure there are other things that can be done beyond my ideas.
I don't know if it also caters to a family crowd, ie. with children
around, since it does serve food and non-alcoholic beverages. Some
parents take it to heart for their kids to be around people such as us.

Remember, there is strength in numbers also.

Love, Hugs and Kisses,

Katherine

Hi all.
I am sorry to say that my week in Vegas in September will not be a week in girl mode. My neighbors have decided to join us for the week and they don't know anything about Katie so my forays into the Vegas nightlife will be restricted to possibly only one night when they go to Laughlin on the Friday.

Please don't let this stop you all from doing a Mini DLV event if you want to. There's nothing stopping others from picking up the ball and running with it here. And no one is restricted to the week I chose to go either. My feelings will not be hurt so please go ,,, and Enjoy!

Why not Pinkfest for something different and fun in October?

Jamie,

You and others thinking about going back to Las Vegas this fall might
want to consider a change in scene. Pinkfest is a gathering much like Diva Las
Vegas that happens in Chicago each fall. This year it will be October 10-14
with something probably happening the evening of Tuesday October 10, and also
maybe on Monday October 15, depending on interest. You can read more about
Pinkfest at this link: http://www.pinkmyst.com/pinkfest/pinkfaq.html.

The web site's home page is http://www.pinkmyst.com/pinkfest/

I'm happy to answer any questions that I can about Pinkfest. I've been
going for about 10 years or more and each year is different and fun.
Chicago is such a big city I don't think we will ever run out of places
to see and activities to attend ..... past activities have seen members
of our group at symphonies, stage plays, museums, boat rides, the lounge
on the top of the Handcock Tower, touring Frank Loyd Wright buildings,
and doing many other things including drinking and eating in some really
famous places along with world class shopping on the Magnificent Mile.
Sometimes many of the local girls come and join us or we join them for
some activity. Fall in "the city" really is different and special and we
seem to blend in pretty well and be welcome.

Southwest and Air Tran have been having some really great prices on
flights into Chicago's Midway Airport so now is the time to start
booking your flight if you want to come. The big airport is Midway with
lots more flights into it. As far as places to stay, anywhere within
your budget is OK, but it should probably be within walking distance of
a CTA train station, aka "The EL" since we tend to do things all over
the city and suburbs and the train is the perfect way to get around. A
car in the city itself can be a serious liability with pricy hard to
find parking and almost constant traffic congestion.

Other Pinkfest regulars are invited to make comments!

I hope to see many of you in Chicago this October,

Ginger
