The gay proms I have attended have had no "court." The clubs have their

Exactly !

One of the worst responses any one can give to any question is "Because
thats the way we always have done it" how unimaginitive, how safe, how
vanilla and how ignorant. I grew up in the Bay Area of California as
well as Reno. And being that close to Oakland (my second home) vanilla
is SO not my flavor of choice.

JoAnn, I am with you, time to shake things up a little and do things
differntly. Change is not always good, but it is inevitable, and, in my
experience, it can be so much fun !
