Right before the event happens, everyone gets a list of all of the
contact numbers, maps to the events, etc. The "being alone and not
knowing anyone" part will be fixed very quickly...you will make new
friends from day one. There will be plenty of old-timers and
first-timers and everyone is very friendly. Once you show up at the
first event of your choosing, Annie or the available volunteer will be
handing out nametags so at least we can try to learn people's names. I
can remember about a dozen names and probably twice that many faces, but
there is no way I can remember everyone.

Annie has a list of suggested hotels, but I'm not sure if it's completed
yet. I will probably go to the Sahara, as usual.

OK, I guess I just took things wrong. I would like to thank everyone for
letting me know that this is a fun event. I will try to make the trip
and meet some of you fun loving people. I am sure you all know the
feelings a first timer has. I will work on be less paranoid and more
positive.

Rita,

I'm glad you are reconsidering your trip for DLV'04. Believe me sister,
we've all been there and the fear, etc. If you need a "Big Sister", I'd
be happy to be your Big Sister. I cannot state enough how many
wonderful transgendered sisters you'll meet at Diva and what a
wonderful time that you will have. Again, if you have any concerns,

I am considering it, however, as I may be out of work shortly and
moving, I will have to play things by ear.

Will you be bringing your economy Lear with you this year? Can you take
me up? Huh? huh? Pretty pweese?!

LOL But seriously, I would like to come out but I wouldn't attend too
many events. I would merely want to do some partying and talk with some
friends (maybe pick up a rich hunk in the casino without follow ons to
the Del-Mar)

Well I hope to be able to make it. I will know early next year (I
think).

Tony will bring the plane, and of course you can get a ride. At Annie's
request, I will be driving my funeral coach. Hopefully they still have
that big parking space at Sahara.

Cool! Maybe we'll have a new story to add to the 7-11, Piglet, and the
Del-Mar/inmate incident. You have contributed more to DLV lore than any
of the other participants. See, it's not just because we love you that
we wanna see you there next year! ;)

That *does* sound like a lot of fun. :)

I know some of that large parking lot has been done away with to make
room for the monorail project. Last year, iirc, the rest of it was used
for parking for the monorail construction people. Hopefully at least
some of it will be open for parking by DLV 2004.

If not you can always valet park and let them worry about where to
put it. :)

Very true, if not for Margeth we would never have the 7-11 story, the
always-embellished Galiano {sic} tales, the DelMar ... now if we could
just blame the whole Mothers Day thing on Margeth ... {ducking and
running}. :)

Rita,

My first time out was at dlv003. I was parinoid and worried about my
first time out as Bev. I had a big sis and other Ladies I talked with on
line about this dream. It became a reality for me with the help and
support I recieved. I never had any problems going out and having a good
time with the Ladies of dlv. If it is your first time I highly recommend
dlv it turns dreams into reality for people like us. If you want to talk
