Ladies of DLV,

Sorry Dennis and I were able to attend last night's farewell dinner as
we originally had planned. Yesterday's sudden winds and accompanying
dust storm knocked us for a loop. Dennis was ill all day and I was
draining like a leaking hose...I said hose not a ho!

Anyway, I hope it was well attended and everyone had a great time.

As always, it was wonderful seeing all of you again looking so
fabulous. Take care and keep in touch. My Facebook page is Vera DelMar.
Contact me there if you want.

Sincerely,

Vera and Dennis

That wind storm has to be the worst I've ever seen.

As I told some, I was on my way to the Flamingo when the Monorail quit. (Fortunately we were in a station!) This was apparently when the power poles along Koval were blown down. I heard later that they lost their control systems for a while because of this.

The promenade between the Linq and Flamingo was a wind tunnel! I was not gonna be able to make it back to the hotel and back to OTS so I kinda camped out at the bar at OTS that faces the promenade. We were watching things like chairs, newspapers and people being blown about for a while.

Fortunately my allergies were not affected this year! Last year they certainly were and I had to skip the trip to the Shiloh Rance because of it. :(

We had a great turnout. We had 73 people through the door and I'm sure they served more than the 59.9 meals that the system predicted. :)
