Getting in touch and staying in touch during the event ...

For those who are interested in contacting and staying in touch with other attendees during the event, we will have a couple of easy to use methods in place to quickly get messages to others in the group.

The new one for DLV 2016 is the Group Text, which you can easily send to your cell phone or email.

We tried this out at last year's Pinkfest and it worked well with most phones and cell carriers. You don't need an app, a smartphone, and you don't need to join anything to use it. It even works with most any older flip phone as long as it's text capable.

You send a text (or brief email) to the group and everyone subscribed to the group gets it. The sender's phone number (or email) is displayed so you can reply in private if you want.

The second method is by using the "Chirp" function of MyDLV which will allow you to send private messages, messages to friends, etc.

We will be sending out more information on these and how to set them up (basically just entering your phone number or email), how to shut them off, etc., shortly.
