I am thrilled to see that the sign-up for this event is now up to 12.
However I'm starting to stress a little because I was only expecting 3 or
4 to join in. Now we have a couple of issues to coordinate. First is
getting there. I can take three others with me, do we have more drivers
available already signed up or will I need to help find additional
tranportation? Please let me know so I can work on this if needed.
Second, who on the Art Tour would like me to get a docent to conduct the
tour at the Las Vegas Art Museum Asian Art Exhibit? We can wander
through on our own or go in and have them discuss the collection and
answer questions. The choice is up to you. Sarah

Sarah Charles--

I am already signed-up for the art tour and will have a car to assist
with transportation
.
Art Toru: Usually a Museum will have regualarly scheduled docent tour
times and maybe we can tag along rather than trying to make special
arrangements for our "own docent". You can call the museum information
office and they can tell you tour time, then we could arrange our
visit accordingly.

So happy you volunteered to coordinate this... JoAnn

JoAnn,

Thanks for offering to drive. That will help a lot. When I was at the
museum last month they suggested if I wanted a docent, I should schedule
one just to be sure. I'll be in touch with them as soon as I know what
the group seems to want and see what will work the best for all. I'm
always happy just to wander around an exhibit, but a docent can make the
visit so much more interesting with the information they share.

I just had someone discover they could attend and asked if registration
was required. No, need to register, but registration will just make it
easier to coordinate rides and drivers. So, I'm still looking for one or
two more drivers if possible. Otherwise, I'll be spending my DLV
allowance on renting a van.

Sarah

Sarah--

Don't worry--- it will work out. Yes, a docent is a "great addition"
-- the question is just how best to arrange it --- use your best
judgment --- all of us attending will be thankful that you got the event
organized --- we will have fun!!! Thanks and Hugs.. JoAnn
