Special Activity Highlight - New Attendee Orientation ...

We invite all individuals who have not previously participated in a Diva Las Vegas event to make every effort to attend our New Attendee Welcome and Orientation session on Monday of DLV week at 5:00pm.

We encourage all new attendees of Diva Las Vegas to attend, regardless of such things as time being "out", local residency, familiarity with other TG events, transition-track status, etc.

The New Attendee Orientation will be held at the Bahama Breeze, the same location as our Get Acquainted Dinner and Welcome Celebration on Monday evening. This is an easy drive or an inexpensive taxi ride from all of our suggested hotels.

To encourage attendance, there will be a valuable door prize drawing. The featured prize will be of meaningful value and will be something that everyone will want and can use, and not some trivial trinket or promotional item. (Must be present to win.)

Exact location information including such things as a detailed map, contact information and explicit instructions on exactly where to meet the group in the venue will appear in the Final Attendee Information, which will come out the week prior to the big event.

The New Attendee Orientation will be host(ess)ed by Vera and Katie, both of whom have over 10 years with our program. They will be personally welcoming each and every new attendee, presenting an overview of things will be happening, addressing a few frequently-misunderstood items, and answering your questions or concerns, during the group session or in private. In addition, several of the senior volunteers will be present, as well as several of the volunteer activity coordinators, to handle any specific questions or concerns that you have.

If you have not attended DLV in the past, please be sure to join us on Monday afternoon at 5:00pm for the New Attendee Orientation.

Dress suggestions: Come the way you are comfortable. Casual to very dressy, boymode or girlmode.

Returnees are welcome to sit in, with the understanding that seats are reserved for those who have never previously attended and for big/little sister (and brother) pairs.
