Claremont Hotel closes Down

With all the chatter about Hotels closing down, here's one I just heard about.
Claremont Hotel, 2601 Westwood Drive, Las Vegas, 89109 has been closed down due to health violations.
{They dont say if the health violation is walking the streets or bed bugs or ??, so no more info on this one.}

As it just so happens, I made several backup reservations, one at the Claremont, just in case. I received notice from Hotels.com about this and they moved this reservation to another hotel AT THE SAME RATE ($162 for 6 nights). So, I choose to stay at the Crestwood for DLV 2014. I like the kitchenette and in-room conveniences.
This hotel was $259 for the same 6 night stay {I had a backup reservation there, as well} but hotels.com charged the difference back to the Claremont hotel. This was unexpected and a good deal. In addition they gave me a $100 coupon for any future stay in Vegas when I book thru them. I just need to cancel my backup reservations and I am Good-to-Go!
