Ladies, as a resident here I can answer any questions you may have about the bus system. Here's my $.02
Taxis - Costs $3.80 just to get in. Obviously, you can get one anywhere. They have the ability to take credit cards, but usually the charge is $3.
I take the bus.
The busses are clean and comfortable. The people who ride the bus are generally very nice. I have always gotten compliments on my outfit or earrings or shoes.
There's 2 busses that run from the strip to downtown.
Deuce. This bus stops at EVERY hotel on Las Vegas Boulevard, from Mandalay Bay, north. It's a double decker bus with a great view....but it does time to get from A to B.
SDX. (Strip & downtown express) This bus goes from the South Terminal to the Las Vegas Premium Outlets. This bus only stops at 4 places ON the "Strip," which makes it quicker.
Paying for the bus: I would get banned for sharing this information.
There's different types of passes available:
$6 for a 2 hour pass on the strip, $8 for a 24 hour pass....
BUT....if you get to one of the Terminals, you can get a 24 hour "residential" pass for only $5 at the kiosk.
They DO NOT check that. I've lived here 4 months and I've never been 'carded' and I still have my FL DL. They only care about the date & time on it.
You can also buy those 24 hour passes on any other bus besides the Deuce & SDX
Getting to the strip from downtown: The SDX bus is in between Binions & Fremont Casinos..
The Deuce bus is infront of the Heartattack Grill
I recommend if you're using the bus, spend $1 and ask the driver for "The Book." it's a huge book that has the routes for every bus. it doesn't fit in a small purse.
If you're going in a limo...Call me and let me know what time you're picking me up.
Text me at 702-530-2305 if you need any further info. I'm happy to answer.
