Carla's Boutique Social Hour at Diva -- Wednesday @ 5pm to 7pm

Where -- The Center at 400 South Maryland Parkway.

This is a unique opportunity to visit the new LGBT Center serving our
community in Las Vegas --- and there is more ...

Our hostess is Aejaie Sellers-Franciscus. Aejaie is the owner of Carla's
Social Club and the Mystique Boutique in San Jose, CA. What makes her
unique she is one of us.... and willing to visit and share her
experiences !!!

She is very special because she understands and has empathy about our
"other-selves".

She will make a short presentation and share her journey --- lessons
learned along the way -- answers to the challenges and ... some "tricks"
to being that women we all want to be.

Aejaie "came out at 5 years of age", and transitioned 30 years ago. Now
she is the the owner of a Boutique and Social Club.

Our fare: Complimentary wine and cheese. A visit to the social hour
offers a glass of wine or two and the sampling of various cheeses.

Aejaie is sponsoring the evening so you can meet the personality behind
Carla's Boutique and her Internet site. It is also a time and place to
visit with others at Diva. And informally ask Aejaie the question you
thought would never ask !!!!

Our venue - a tour of the new Center which cost $4 million.

This is a special place that fosters the goals of our community, and a
tour will be offered to compliment your visit.

We [ Aejaie and JoAnn Segrue ] hope you will include us on your
Wednesday evening schedule.

Look forward to seeing you, however brief your visit.

JoAnn & Aejaie

If there's any question about where this is, it's at the intersection of Maryland and Lewis, a few blocks north of Charleston.

It's marked "10" on the main DLV Activity Map and Google Maps shows "The Center" clearly.

The Center is located at 401 S Maryland. If you turn north on Maryland from Charleston, it is about 1block. Maryland divides and The Center is in the middle of the divide, very large parking area.

I helped them move in last month. It is a fabulous purpose built (with much foresight) facility. It has a huge banquet room that can be subdivided, with full commercial kitchen. Library with comfortable reading room, cafe, internet terminals and wifi. There is a youth room, meeting rooms, clinic, gender neutral rest rooms (u gotta see it), basketball court, picnic patio and more.

I would encourage anyone that might come to LV other than Diva and might want a nice place to spend time in daytime to get familiar with The Center serving the LGBT community.

BTW: the new building was made possible by many small donations and a large donation from the person who's name is on he building, Robert L. Forbuss. I was told another large donation was from Dotty's Casinos. You will see them everywhere.
