If by "reasonable" you mean "low-cost", what you really don't want to do
is use any hotel hair salon / spa. They charge two or three times what
you can get off strip.

Two salons I've used in the past are Cache Hair Salon, 4850 W
Flamingo Ste 21 (702) 876-7445. This is a few blocks west of the Rio
Hotel, and you'll need a car to get there (it's about 4 miles from the
Sahara). Ask for Joe. This is a more traditional beauty salon with good
service at reasonable prices.

Also worth checking out is Curl Up & Dye, 2550 S. Rainbow (corner of W.
Sahara and Rainbow) (702) 247-6666. (This is 5 miles due west of the
Sahara Hotel) This shop is also very T-friendly and has one of the
funniest web sites around - www.curlupndye.com/ The hairdressers here
are mostly punk rock and rockabilly girls and caters to a young, hip
clientele. Check the web site and you'll get an idea of what they do.

You may also just want your regular hairdresser at home do your cut and
color, since he or she will already be familiar with what looks good on
you.

Good day all,

I started letting the hair-do grow out since coming across the DLV Group
nearly a year ago, now...

Arriving in Vegas early and hoped to find a reasonable shop to see what
magic they could do with it and probably a first time color also.

There are sooo many to chose from so I asking the experts for advice.

We are staying at the Sahara and hope to find something relatively close by..

TJ

Not sure of what the meaning of reasonable you are talking about. Most
salons I have looked at seem to be in the same price range for coloring.
I went to the Kim Vo salon at the Mirage last year.....and had my hair
colored by Kim Vo himself and it was 150.00 (he colored my hair plus
added a few highlights and a glaze for that price......which I thought
was very reasonable.). He was VERY friendly to everyone . You can enjoy
a glass of champagne or coffee/tea while getting it done.

I also got a cut and style from Michelle there which was 125.00 (it was
a good cut but not sure I felt it was worth 125.00).

I'm definitely going back in April to get my hair colored by Kim Vo
again but thinking of trying another stylist for the cut.
