We're probably going to have to agree to disagree on which
hotel is a "dump" and which hotel is a "palace", just as we
will never agree on which brand of beer is to be served!

I think the best practice, however, is, in general, to stick
to the hotels which market primarily to grown-ups, as opposed
to those who advertise the "family-friendly" atmosphere.

"TG-Friendly" has become somewhat of an overloaded term,
and although over the 13 years of DLV, things have changed
somewhat, there are still some vendors, merchants, clubs,
etc., who would rather not have our business. These you
can call "TG-Hostile".

I would say that most firms in Las Vegas in this day and
age could be described as "TG-Tolerant" or "TG-Oblivious",
and that's what many mean when they use the "TG-Friendly"
term.

I think of a "TG-Friendly" business as one which actively
invites TG business. Harmony Nail Spa, Blue Ox, Dress Barn,
Vegas Girl Wigs and others come to mind immediately. Of
course those firms such as Glamour Boutique and Studio
Lites fit in the category too.

Speaking very freely here ...

Ya know, I really think that the situation at Paris is
like a powder keg sitting there just waiting for someone
to throw in a lit match!

Some in our community seem to think that if a business
purports to be TG-Friendly, that they can think of it as
a dressing free-for-all, and that they can use restrooms
with impunity!

I'm afraid that there will be a complaint from a high-roller
or a known regular gaming customer, and that a duty manager
or security supervisor will make some decisions that we do
not like, and that those decisions will "stick" as policy,
either written or unwritten. :(

I think it's very important that we do all we can to
present a positive image of the TG community, particularly
at the businesses which invite our business!
