Having stayed at the IP many times, I've become aware of three
additional banks of elevators (there are possibly more) which
may be quicker and/or less crowded at times.
I'll note these all from the perspective of the main bank of
four elevators which serve the main tower complex.
First is a "hidden in plain sight" bank of three additional
elevators directly behind the main four. Just go down the
hallway to the left of the main elevators maybe 20 feet or
so, look to the right, there they are! Some people have been
known to go as far as to push the down buttons on both banks,
stand in the hallway between them, and listen for the first
to arrive.
Second is a bank of three located to the west of the main
bank in the forward part of the tower complex. From the main
elevator bank, walk north down the hallway to the left of
the main elevators, then turn left (west) down another
hallway, and then left (south) again.
Third is a bank of two elevators located toward the rear
(east side) of the tower complex. From the main elevators,
take the hallway to the right, walk east as far as you can
go, turn right and there they are.
There may be others. Finding them will be an exercise
for the student. :)
Hope this helps.
