Possible glitch with air tours

Postby Densie » Thu Mar 31, 2011 1:15 pm

We have a mechanical problem with the airplane. I have ordered the necessary parts and they are supposed to be sent by overnight express, so if all goes well, I will be able to take care of it.

However, recent experience has told me that most things don't go the way they are supposed to, so I thought I would give a heads-up on this, in case we end up driving to Vegas.

Well, the part that I needed is here, and will only take about ten minutes to replace (anti-collision light assembly, in case anyone cares), so we plan to replace it in the morning and then head to Vegas. Provided that nothing else goes wrong, expect air tours to be back on schedule.

I was just outside. Definitely a Bad Hair Day if you're in a bottleneck between two buildings.

See everybody at Firefly tonight between 6 and 7.

Typically, this time of year, the weather is calm and smooth, nice and cool and the plane performs well early in the morning. By 10am, the ride will be choppy and it will be hot. This is why it might be a good idea to start really early, like perhaps 6am.

We came up here in the afternoon from Tucson and had to burn off some fuel before we could get our fat behinds and our luggage up to 8500', where it was smoother. The wind at 5pm was gusting all over the place, which made the landing very interesting, but...we're here.
