> DON'T PEOPLE HAVE EMPATHY ANY MORE....I WOULD NOT BE MAKING THIS POST IF
> I TRULY DID NOT NEED HELP....
Kathy, while I understand your frustration at not getting the responses you wish here, I think I can help you understand why the people here have not been as responsive as you would like.
Please pardon me for speaking very freely.
First, I think you may be misunderstanding what type of a group we have here. Our group has one purpose and one purpose only, to sponsor a single annual social event in Las Vegas, nothing else. We're not a "support group" for crossdressing or for gender identity issues. The vast majority of the people reading these postings come to Las Vegas once a year for a week and can't offer any in-person support except during that week.
If you're looking for crossdressing support, the Las Vegas TUG Chapter is an excellent resource. If you're looking for support for gender identity issues, The Center in Las Vegas is where to start.
Second, our people tend to be very helpful, but those asking for help need to be very explicit as to what they are looking for. A request of "I am in need of one or more outfits, my size is {such and such} and I am looking for something appropriate for a night out." is far more likely to generate a response than is any kind of vague appeal.
Likewise, a request of "I need a ride to the DLV Welcome Celebration. I live in the Green Valley area. I'll be ready at 5:30pm. Can somebody swing by and give me a lift?" is more likely to get you a ride somewhere.
Our people tend to be mutually-supportive but you need to remember that our group "exists" in Las Vegas only between April 3 and April 8 this year, and most of our people are not from the area.
