Just to make everyone aware of a few technical quirks here ...

As some of you know, and some probably don't know, the DLV Discussion Forum has two "sides", the geekbabe.com side and the Yahoo side. Although the content is (almost) the same on both, the look and feel and the behavior of some things is different between these.

On the geekbabe.com side, and this includes such things as the web interface to the Forum and the e-mail and digest versions of the Forum, plus the items which are gatewayed from geekbabe to Yahoo, the sender's personal e-mail does not appear anywhere, and therefore it's not possible to directly reply via private e-mail.

If you post something and wish a reply via private e-mail, you'll need to include your e-mail address within the message text. I might suggest that you obfuscate it somewhat, to make it less obvious to spambots and such. An example might be "annie at geekbabe dot com".

Another issue we've been seeing lately is that replies to forum postings are not going to the correct address. This seems to be happening mostly from e-mail capable cell phones.

A quick and easy way to check for this is when you hit "Reply", and the address you are sending the reply to has the term "owner" in it, it's WRONG! The correct address for all Forum postings and replies is: dlvdisc@geekbabe.com
