post diva hangover response

Well ladies as usual diva was a wonderful time and i would like to
comment on a few things.. 1st i think the behaviour was for the most
part excellent. diane commented on how lady like most of you were this
year. also had a some wonderful feedback from the casino manager at the
san remo as to our presentation and attitude and they welcome us back
again without reservation.

diane and i were very pleased with the turnout for the sbs garden party
at our home and will be pleased to open our home to it again next year
and are considering doing a couple of alternative track things at our
home as well. seems my neighbors survived the shock. in fact the
neighbor across the street got a great laugh out of the reaction of her
guests when we all turned around and waved at them.

the golf again went off well though there was a report of one or more of
our gals standing in the stalls in the bathroom at the clubhouse. even
with this little problem the course would again like to have us there
next year. i wish i could of done something about the wind but even i
am not that big a diva *LOL*. with cancellations and no shows and
unsigned shows we were right on target for the number of golfers and i
got the impression that everyone had a great time.. sorry about the miss
communication re the prizes this year.. i have spoken to annie and we
should be able to avoid the late limo tour early golf conflict next year
and get even more gals out on the course.

diane said the turnout for the so happy hour was low and guessed it was
because it was just an hour before the carluccios happy hour and some of
the so's have asked for a return to last years lunchion.

there were some scheduling problems with the tea though it finally came
off late but with a decent attendance. some of you who attended
discussed with diane the idea of haveing the tea at our home next year
and we think we can do that and probley keep the cost lower then the
past 2 years. would like to see some chat about that when we start the
planning for next year.

my daughter kris attended many of our activities this year and had a
wonderful time and plans on takeing some of her vacation time next year
so she can do even more. thank you all for making her feel so
comfortable.

diane, kris and i have some special thanks to some of you..

annie.. again girl a job well done so glad you got to spend a little
more time at the garden party this year.. without you who knows this
might still be a few gals getting together for dinner.

monique.. thank you for your work with us on the garden party.. and all
the sign up work.. i know the turn out for diva in general dissapointed
you but for those of us who made it job well done girl. also had a ball
on the limo tour.. any chance of bigger limos next year?

aiko.. loved you choice of the show and the wonderful selection of
seats..

special thanks to tiny for his help with the sgom show and taking the
time to get us all on stage for pics. it was the 1st time diane had seen
the show (4th for me) and she had a wonderful time.

to all of you who arranged events thanks for your time and effort. it
is all of us working together that makes diva what it is.

some suggestions for next year.. i love sasha dearly but there were
again some service problems with the food. i just think we overwealm the
staff.. perhaps next year dinner someplace else and then the show at
sashas.

of course lets not have golf the morning after the limo tour i think we
can get a better turn out if we do golf on a night that sort of ends a
bit earlier. i know several gals wanted to play but knew they would be
way to tired.

bathroom issues. i think that us local girls should try to do what i did
at the san remo and boardwalk and discuss directly with the people at
places we go a safe and sane bathroom policy. letters ect might be a
bit much especially if they are not worded properly. in the past i have
found the initual reaction is "use the mens room" but they change thier
tune when it is pointed out that the majority of assualts against t's
happen in mens rooms.

registration fee.. i am against it. however i am not against a request
for donations in advance for things like name badges, booking limited or
activities which require a deadline for payment, and even t-shirts. we
need to keep in the spirit of the group vacation and keep diva al la
cart.

given the crowds at some events i think it is time to look at some
additional dual tracking even some times secheduling the same place on 2
different days or times to all can see a show or venue.
