What is the Diva Las Vegas Invitational Golf Tournament?

This will be the 11th Annual Diva La Vegas Invitational Golf Tournament
and to my knowledge we are still the only annual transgender golf
tournament.

I really don't need to explain golf I hope. Golfers (and non golfers)
of all skill levels are invited to play.

As we have for the last several years we will be playing at Desert Rose
Golf Club. They have treated us very well in the past and they charge
us far less then the normal out of town golf fees ($48.00) for the time
of year we play. This includes greens fees, cart fees, range balls and
discount coupon for lunch.

The format is individual stroke play with a max stroke per hole
rule. Each player needs to bring a prize so that each player wins a
prize. Prizes are awarded by blind draw so you don't have to shoot a low
score to score a cool prize. We have an awards lunch after the round.

The course will have a beverage cart while we are out and there will be
prizes for longest drive, longest putt and closest to the pin.

The dress for the event is traditional/usual golf outfits. No tank tops,
mini skirts etc. Clubs are available to rent at additional cost.
Bathroom has not been an issue for the last few years. Please help keep
it that way.

I'm sure that if there were another one, we would have caught
wind of it. :)

I can say this with some certainty, however, and that is that
we do have a genuine world's first, in that the Diva Las Vegas
Invitational is the world's first regularly-scheduled TG golf
match.

I know that some consider Diva Las Vegas to be mainly a golf
match with a few other activities thrown in. :)

Big thanks to Mindy for taking the lead on this over the
years, and special thanks this year to "Other Annie" for
stepping in and helping out when it was needed. :)

This is the first I have heard of bringing a prize. Whatdo people
normally bring?

We leave it pretty much open. In the past we have had minor golf
equipment (gloves, towels, visors, balls ect), wine, clothing (fem),
perfume. Most prizes are either non gender specific or fem. We don't put
a doller amount on the prizes. Just whatever you feel comfortable with.
They have run from about $5 up to maybe $30.
