Reservations option

I was just looking for options and found TripReservations.com and some
very competative prices for rooms just about anywhere in L.V. during
DLV. The only problem is a significant loss if you change your mind and
cannot attend.

For example, early in the week San Remo offers rooms at $42, on
TripReservations.com they are $30 for the same nights. Friday and
Saturday are listed at $99.

I did use them once before and had no real problems, but the world
changes, so be careful anyway. Again, be sure to read their refund
policy if you think you may not make it. It may be a safer choice to
reserve through the hotel and have a full refund with 2 or 3 days notice
than to change your plans 2 weeks out and lose $50 + the first full day
or more.

Sara and everyone on DLVDisc,

I booked my room at the San Remo about 3 weeks ago and the rates via the
San Remo website were as follows:

4/19 - $65/nt.
4/20 thru 4/24 - $42/nt.
4/25 thru 4/26 - $65/nt.
4/27 thru 4/28 - $42/nt.

Again, as DLV'03 approaches, hotel rates will go up, so I might suggest
you go to the San Remo website and check out their prices ASAP. They do
require a credit card deposit for the first nite.

Monique, your rates are very similar to (and slightly better on the last
weekend) what I was quoted by San Remo on 1/19 at their Web site:

+4/19/03 $65.00
+4/20/03 $42.00
+4/21/03 $42.00
+4/22/03 $42.00
+4/23/03 $42.00
+4/24/03 $42.00
+4/25/03 $70.00
+4/26/03 $70.00

I decided to stay at the Sahara for a bit less than the above. Current
Sahara quote from their Web site is higher than what I got in January:

4/19 - $79
4/20 - $39
4/21 - $39
4/22 - $39
4/23 - $39
4/24 - $39
4/25 - $79
4/26 - $79
5/27 - $32

Weekend rates in particular are creeping up. FYI, Sahara Web site wouldn't let me reserve a Saturday arrival, but calling their 800 number did the trick. They fixed it for me with no problem. Don't forget Annie's earlier note to mention Operator 110 (or whatever that number was, see the discussion thread) for lowest rates. I got $32 on the weeknights when I called back with it.
