Inquiring minds want to know!
This question is mainly aimed at attendees of recent years, of all ages, who, occasionally or frequently, chose to dine at other than the various "venues du jour" on the DLV schedule.
Where did you dine? General or very specific.
Did you dine solo or with others?
Why did you choose to dine separately from the group at those times?
And, what is your approximate age?
I'll start off. I did several meals not with the group this past year and in recent years. All but one of these in recent years have been solo.
As for venues:
Coffee shop at Westgate, my hotel this year, multiple times. Why? It was there, I was there, I was hungry, and it's usually very good, although I admit a bit spendy for what you get.
Buffet at Westgate. Why? It was there, it was convenient, I was hungry, and usually it's very good.
Nathan's, upstairs food court at NYNY. Why? I was there and I'm addicted to Nathan's fries.
Very unhealthy quasi-dinner at the deli at TI. Why? Why not! YOLO!
I know I'll think of a couple more just after I hit SUBMIT.
One unintended meal solo, which I think I already mentioned, came about because I was one who was partly responsible for an overbooking at one of our EON venues, so I cancelled and did dinner on my own.
As to why I did not dine with the group, in almost all cases there was no DLV dining activity happening at that time or in the next few hours that was convenient to me.
As for age, I grudgingly accept the fact that I'm now over 60 although I'm still somewhat in denial.
Now, let's hear yours!
