Ok, you've been screaming for some new activities, especially for Friday morning. So here is one for you...
Wayne Newton's Casa de Shenandoah Tour. This is a 2-3 hour tour of his 52 acre estate just 4 miles from the strip. Cost of the tour is $45/ $42 seniors. There may be discount tickets or coupons available.
Once you enter through the gilded gates, you will forget you are in Las Vegas. Casa de Shenandoah is 52 lush acres of landscaping, natural artesian ponds and waterfalls. You will see freely roaming peacocks, swans, geese and a variety of exotic birds.
The first stop is the Museum where visitors will see Wayne Newton’s extensive car collection, board his private jet and tour his vast memorabilia collection including gifts from close friends Frank Sinatra, Jack Benny, Nat King Cole, and Elvis Presley.
Guests will then head to the equine area where they will see Wayne Newton’s champion Arabian horses. Various showcases include horses swimming in our state-of-the-art equine swimming pool and/or a horse demonstration.
Visit the Exotic Animal Exhibit, including Penguin Island, Monkey Manor, Wallaby World and many more animal habitats. Come meet all of the animals that are a part of Wayne’s family.
Tour the Mansion, Wayne’s home that he personally designed, built, and completed in 1976. Sounds great doesn't it!
We can meet for Katie's Koffee Korner at 8:00, drive/car pool to the tour and be done in time for Lunch with "??".
Haven't had enough fun yet? Well then after lunch let's head over to the Hollywood Cars Museum located just a mile off the strip for a 1-2 hour tour of cars from TV and movies that we have all seen.
The 30,000-Sq.-Ft. Hollywood Cars Museum includes opportunities for us to see the workshop of “Hollywood Jay,” whose legendary creations include cars for “RoboCop,” “Back To The Future,” “The Flintstones,” a bunkbed hot rod and a 40-foot pink hot tub convertible limo, which was profiled on “Lifestyles of the Rich and Famous!” The best car museum in Las Vegas! Cost is $15. again, discount coupons may be available.
A day of fun and we will be done by mid-afternoon, leaving plenty of time to get ready for an evening of dining and more fun.
How does that sound? And anyone can feel free to join us for both or either one of these fun outings.
