​You'd have to have been living under a rock to have missed the explosion of transgender voices in public life this past year. Seriously. From Janet Mock’s explosive interview with Piers Morgan in the States, to Kellie Maloney’s very public transition here in the UK, trans people have been generating headlines left, right and centre. I can’t even keep up with it anymore. Every day brings some new story about a trans person doing something that trans people have never had the chance to do before; every day some milestone is being reached. Good.
