Dates, round 2 ...

Ok, since we have one regular attendee conflict with the first set of proposed dates, are there any conflicts or objections to holding Pinkfest 2014 from Wednesday, October 8 thru Sunday, October 12?

It would sure be nice to be able to announce these at DLV!

Sorry I missed DLV. My wife and I were going to attend but I started looking at the price of travel and we decided to do a Chicago trip instead. We probably spent less on travel, lodging and food than just the travel to DLV. It was a girls weekend and her first extended trip with Valerie, including travel en femme. We had a full Fri-Mon trip and visited some of the same haunts from Pinkfest 2013. She got a good picture of what my time in Chicago was like, including how the locals react to a CDer out and about on the town.

I was checking hotel prices for these dates and they are not pleasant. For instance, we just did Thu-Mon at the Four Points around the corner (literally) from Lawry's for just $55/night. Nothing close to that for the current Pinkfest dates.

Anyway, if she decides not to come to Pinkfest (likely) I will be looking into splitting a hotel room or even investigating a weekly rental for a small group. Anyone interested in those options just let me know. We'll see what, if anything, can be worked out.

Update on the hotel splitting comment above. My wife may be coming this year. Not sure yet. Anyway, I've already booked a place using airbnb, so my offer to split is officially rescinded.
