[ Moderator's note: Mindy sends in this summary of the current
situation at Hunter's. Several media have picked up on this
including:

At last report, Ginger was not planning to place Hunter's on
the Pinkfest 2009 schedule. ]

Hi All:

The Chicago Tribune ran a page three article on Hunters last Monday
(9-21). See if you can dig it up in their library.

Unless your State ID picture matches your appearance, you will not be
allowed to enter. So, just get a state ID (not a driver's license) en
femme.

Or tell them to go to hell and go to Krave or Hideaway. Only downside
is the lack of a place to change and spend a night if you need to for
whatever reason.

I still can't get over the pure hell that the gurls go through! It just
ain't right!

Wayne

One item I think we need to note is that this is current and
fresh information and not just recycled netlore.

I've always been very lukewarm on Hunters anyway.

Hmmmm ... if Hideaway is the place I'm thinking of (On
Roosevelt, Forest Park area) I was told it closed. Is this
still open?

I have been hearing of continued problems with t-girls being turned away at
Hunters but it is kind of hit or miss. The only time in the schedule that
we might want to go to Hunters is after Transformation's Halloween Party.
The party is over at midnight and Hunters is very close by. Personally I
agree with Annie, Hunters is OK but I can live without it.

The Hideaway was still open as of a few weeks ago. It is on Roosevelt near
Harlem in Forest Park. Annie, you may be thinking of Nutbush which was
Harlem. It closed a couple of years ago.

If that's what the gang wants to do, I may tag along, but I
don't have a great need to do it. AFAIC, if they don't want
our business, we should take our business elsewhere!

Good! I had heard (somewhere?) that it closed.

I definitely know which one Hideaway is. It's the two-level
club right on Roosevelt. Maybe the person (who??) who told
me it closed had them confused. Anyway, I'm glad to know it's
still open. :)

I would rather not spend any of my money at Hunters based on what I have
read. I'd rather go to a place that wants my business.
