Dress/restroom (was Re: An Introduction)

Postby Cami desiree » Mon Mar 21, 2011 1:29 pm

Hello girls,
This will be my first visit to DVL and to say I am excited is an "BIG" understatement. I truly can not wait the 2 weeks and have been trying on clothes, buying too many clothes and too much makeup and generally thinking about it all my waking hours (ok, that's a stretch). I'm signed up for a # of events, that all look like they will be a blast. I'm a little worried about my clothes fitting into the DVL recommended "look" and have been trying to lay out outfits for each event. I tend to waer tight fitting tops and skirts & pants, mostly black and hope that look is Ok for the right event. The bathroom issue is also of concern. For Halloween, I have gone into the Mens room enfemme, but it was Halloween. For those who have attended before, what experiences with using the Ladies room have you had? Is it a big deal or don't worry about it? Look forward to meeting many of you.
Kisses,
Cami

A couple suggested reading/viewing items here:

1. Our collection of dress-related articles on line here:

http://www.geekbabe.com/dlv/dress/

2. Countless photos of past years, links from the main DLV page:

http://www.geekbabe.com/dlv/

Observe what our people were wearing to various activities.

General guidelines are age-appropriate, size/height-appropriate, and occasion-appropriate. Follow that and you should have no issues.

Again, some suggested reading:

BDR summary: http://www.geekbabe.com/dlv/dress/nutshell.html
Detailed restroom guidelines: http://www.geekbabe.com/dlv/dlvrestr.html

If you follow these, you should have few if any issues.

To all: Please refrain from giving "advice" either prior to or during the event which contradicts the restroom guidelines. We're not trying to be "control freaks", we're trying to prevent somebody from getting burned by following poor advice, which has unfortunately happened at times. Our restroom guidelines have evolved from over a decade of real-world experience in Las Vegas and some fairly concise "best practices" have emerged. We reserve the right to edit responses if needed.

An Introduction

Hi Cami,

Looking forward to meeting you too. All the help and information you
need to make you first DLV experience an enjoyable and memorable one can
be found on the DLV web page. Just click on the various tabs on the
upper left hand corner of the main page. You will find information on
those topics that are of concern to you, plus others, that were taken
from previous general mailings and from the DLV Discussion forum that
will provide you with guidelines you can use to help you select clothes
that are age and body build appropriate for you to wear to the various
DLV events. DLV is, and can be, as you stated, a blast.

If you are going to the Shiloh "Some Like It Hot" Side Trip, the SO
Sunday Champagne Brunch, or the Mexican Dinner at Chapala's, then I'll
personally meet you then. If not, well I'll see you at one of the other
events we both may be attending.

Either way, I'll see ya' there!

Rosada
