Where is the Boys Town area of Chicago? Can you tell me what neighborhood it is in?

The preferred name for the neighborhood is Lakeview. Deprecated name still occasionally heard is New Town.

Basically it's centered around the triangle of of Belmont/Clark/Halsted, north of Old Town and south of Wrigley field.

The name "Boystown" comes from the plethora of alternative bars and clubs in the area.

Newtown is north of Boystown, which can be a little dicey after dark.

I am past resident of Boystown, Lakeview, and current resident of NW
Chicago.
