DLV 2023 July updates:

We are right at the three month point!

Yes, Diva Las Vegas begins Sunday, October 22.

We wish to welcome those who just registered or who just joined our
mailing list. If you have any questions or concerns, please let us
know.

Things have been falling in place very nicely. Big thanks go out to the
DLV 2023 volunteer crew for making the planning of DLV 2023 one of the
smoothest in our history!

This mailing will give you the latest updates.

Creative Wigs, a vendor which has attended DLV most years since 2014,
would like some feedback regarding our attendees' preferences and
interests in the services to be offered and the topics to be covered
in an in-person presentation.

Schedule highlights:

Our schedule of activities continues to evolve and take shape and we
thank our volunteers for giving us a very rich selection of things to
do this year.

Monday afternoon and evening will be centered around Downtown Las Vegas
beginning with a tour of the Mob Museum, multiple dining options, and
participating in the various things to do on the Fremont Street
Experience.

For the early birds, Morning Cycling (with optional early breakfast)
will happen on Tuesday and Wednesday.

A tour of the Shelby (automotive) Heritage Center (with optional lunch)
has been added late Tuesday morning and early afternoon.

Tuesday evening will be our first major gathering, happening at the
Bahama Breeze, which has hosted this for many years.

The full regular menu, at regular prices, will be available to those
participating.

The evening will include our Official Group Photo (posing for this is
strictly optional).

Pickleball, the Hair And Wig Seminar, and an optional trip to Seven
Magic Mountains, will happen on Wednesday.

Menopause The Musical (musical comedy production show) will happen on
Wednesday evening.

Also on Wednesday late evening, we're bringing back the Limousine Tour
for the first time since Covid. This has been a perennial favorite over
the years. Ride in STYLE and go see and be seen!

Golf will be happening on Thursday morning.

The Pool Party (swimming and sunbathing, not billiards) will happen on
Thursday afternoon.

Our second major gathering will happen Thursday evening at Virgil's BBQ
which is located in the Linq Hotel And Casino complex. Their full
regular menu, at regular prices, will be available to DLV attendees.

Our schedule is still under development. Please watch for additions and
changes.

Things to come:

The next big milestone on the path to Diva Las Vegas 2023 will be
Activity Sign-Up.

This is where you tell us which of the many optional activities that are
planned for DLV 2022 that you want to do.

This takes only a couple of minutes, and if you change your mind, in
most cases you can simply return to your Activity Sign-Up screen and
update your selections.

Most of the activities that make up Diva Las Vegas 2023 are "No sign-up,
just show up" in nature, meaning that all you need to do to participate
is to appear on the roster of DLV 2023 attendees.

However, many of the activities require some kind of a sign-up,
headcount, or other action to participate, and all of this is taken
care of at Activity Sign-Up time.

Activity Sign-Up will begin on or about Sunday, October 1. Everyone
registered for DLV 2023 prior to that date will receive a special
mailing with a link to a personalized Activity Sign-Up screen.

Further details about Activity Sign-Up will appear as the date
approaches.

During the week prior to the big event, we will release our Final
Attendee Information.

This will be available on the web via your Attendee Information Portal.

The Final Attendee Information will include things such as:

* The Bare Minimum
* Late Notices - Changes - Updates
* Contact Information
* Maps And Schedules (Several schedule formats, one right for you!)
* What to do in case something is wrong
* Directions to major gatherings
* Setting up cell phone and e-mail activity reminders
* If you are feeling uneasy or uncertain
* Making contact, checking in, etc.
* Getting there and getting around
* Detailed instructions for local transportation
* Photography information and Guidelines

The Diva Las Vegas Group Text will be the primary means of sending out
important information during our upcoming event.

This will be available via email and/or cell phone text with most of the
North American cell phone carriers being supported.

It will also be handy for attendees who want to quickly send out queries
such as "Anybody wanna share a taxi from the Flamingo?" and such.

You can subscribe to the DLV Group Text at Activity Sign-Up time or via
the Attendee Information Portal.

This year you will have some options to make this service more to your
liking and more convenient.

* You will have the option of either receiving all text messages from all
attendees, or just official announcements.

* You will have the option to display or redact your cell phone number
(or email address) from DLV Group Text messages that you send out.

* In the event that you find the number of messages received via this
service to be annoying, you will have quick convenient options to
suspend the service for the rest of the day or to unsubscribe from the
service for the duration of the event.
