Let's review the schedule ...

Postby annie » Tue Sep 30, 2014 12:16 am

Comments and suggestions please. :)

Here's the schedule the way it now sits. I've noted the weak points ...

Wednesday, October 8:
2:00pm: Kelly M Open House (Kelly Inc Studio) - sv
6:00pm: Happy Hour (Winberies) - ms
7:00pm: Dinner (Winberies) - ms
9:00pm: Quality Social Time (Bar Louie) - ms

Wednesday, as our "slow start day" looks good.

Thursday, October 9:
12:00n: Lunch With Ginger (Cheesecake Factory) - ms
5:00pm: Happy Half Hour (Ginos East Superior) - ms
5:30pm: Dinner (Genos East Superior) - ms
7:30pm: Evil Dead - The Musical (Broadway Playhouse) - ms
10:00pm: After Hours (Signature Lounge) - ms

Wide open afternoon. Something touristy, maybe? Vendor open house, maybe?

Friday, October 10:
12:00n: Lunch With Ginger (Ann Sathers) - ms
6:00pm: Happy Hour (Trader Todd's) - ms
7:00pm: Dinner (Lina's Chicago Kitchen) - ms
9:00pm: QST (tba) - sv

Again, Friday is open in the afternoon, and I do think we need a definite after-dinner selection for those who will be joining us.

Saturday, October 11:
12:00n: Lunch With Ginger (The Berghoff) - ms
1:00pm: Museum of Science and Industry (MSI) - ms
6:00pm: Happy Hour (Gene and Georgetti's) - ms
7:00pm: Dinner (Gene and Georgetti's) - ms

Let's select something for after din-din.

Sunday, October 12:
12:00n: Lunch With Ginger (Ed Debevics) - ms
3:30pm: Million Dollar Quartet (Apollo Theater) - ms
6:00pm: Happy Hour (McCormick and Schmick's) - ms
7:00pm: Dinner (McCormick and Schmick's) - ms
9:00pm: Quality Social Time (The Downtown Bar) - sv

Sunday looks good.

Kelly and I could host a Wednesday lunch. We will both in Oak Park
then. Hemmingway Bistro or a good Italian restaurant are possible
locations.

On Saturday night, Chi Chapter (a local TG support group of which I am
president) is having our monthly Girls Night Out at Foxes in the
Doubletree Hotel In Oak Brook. Foxes is a nice bar/restaurant and GNO
has been getting more popular with 19 girls in September. GNO is
strictly social with everyone just paying for whatever they order.
Pinkfest girls are certainly welcome. Oak Brook is a not a bad drive
but lacks good public transportation.

I'll put this in. Thanks. I'll put Hemmingway in there for now, since the address and such are already in the system. If you want it changed, let me know.

I probably will not make it for lunch. I should be at the open house earlier than I had planned since I will be on an earlier flight. All depends on when they let me check in.

Do we want to do this, gang, in lieu of Gene and Georgetti's? It's fine with me. We could leave G&G on the schedule as well for those who want it instead.

If we can't find willing drivers, worst case we could take a taxi from the end of the Blue Line in Forest Park, or else Elmhurst.

Everyone? Do we want to do the GNO on Saturday?

Pinkfest could schedule dinner at the Chi GNO or still eat at Gene and
Georgetti's and then go the GNO for drinks. Our GNO starts at 7:00 and
goes past midnight. I will be at the Chi GNO.

Well, gang? What do we wanna do? I checked the menu at Foxes and there's quite a variety, steaks, burgers, and salads and such.

Annie, I plan on attending the GNO, but travels into the city of
Chicago, from the far North suburbs, and are a bit of a "pain in ___
___, and a strain on an already strained budget. Hoping you all can get
to Chi Chapter's GNO. The Foxes is an amazing place, because one never
knows exactly who else will be there, and what conversations can come
up. I've never had any problems there, which is why I can recommend the
place. Food's great, and the bar tender Victor, pours a decent drink.

Unfortunately, while hottix has both of these events, I don't see either
of our selected performances available at that site.

They tend to add ix only for the upcoming week. Check back with them on
Monday or at one of the physical locations when you get to town.

In fact, I got their promotional email today which says additional dates
have been added.

Also, check goldstar.com for theater ticket discounts. These two sites
are Chicago theatergoers best friends. Often, there really is no need
to pay full price.
