Welcome to those who just registered or just joined the list. If you
have any questions or concerns please let us know.

As of this time we have 117 individuals registered, including 20 SOs.

No validations outstanding as of this time! Thanks to all for your
cooperation on this.

Congratulations to Tasha! Tasha from Canada is our 100th. validated
attendee this year!

Q&A:

Two particular questions and concerns that may interest others:

>I was invited to this event by my friend, and I am a not transgendered

You don't have to be TG to participate in DLV. Most of our attendees
are, but some are not. All are welcome, including friends and guests.

Please register as usual. You don't have to declare what you are when
you register.

So far on this year's schedule, there are no activities which are in
any way restricted from non-TG guests.

Recommendations for activities are most welcome.

This happened in both 2005 and 2006 and was one of the highest rated
activities for both years. It's been discussed for this year, but
has not been placed on the schedule (yet).

There are still a number of timeslots in which this could happen in
2007, so if there's a demand for this, please let it be known while
there's still time to plan and schedule.

If you would like to help out by coordinating such an activity,
please write in and say so. You will definitely be taken up on
your offer.

Things to come:

We are now a little more than two months away from the big event,
and this is the time when the pace starts to quicken and things
start happening very fast.

DLV is a very intense week. There will be a lot happening, and we
don't want you to miss out on something you would want to do. Please
take the time now to start looking over our schedule and thinking
about the activities that you would like to do during DLV.

If you have not made your travel and lodging arrangements, you should
do so right away, as prices have been known to rise sharply without
notice as the date approaches.

The next big milestone is around April 1 when activity sign-up begins.

This is a one-stop-shop for most of our activities which require some
kind of a sign-up or headcount. Everybody holding a validated
registration will receive their own personal activity sign-up e-mail
with a clickable link to their personal activity sign-up screen.

During the week just prior to DLV we will be sending out what we
call our Large Final Mailing.

One very important difference between DLV and other events that you
may have attended is that with DLV, YOU WILL NOT RECEIVE ANY HARDCOPY
PAPERWORK WHEN YOU ARRIVE AND CHECK IN, such as schedules, maps, etc.

All of this will be sent to you in the Large Final Mailing and you
should plan to print this material and take it with you to DLV.

When you arrive at DLV you may check in at any activity which is
marked "check-in available" on the final DLV schedule. (Yes, this
year we promise you that if it says "check-in available", there
*WILL* be a check-in host or hostess at the activity.) Check-in
will be available at most activities during the start of DLV week,
including Lunch With Ginger/Lori.

Local contact phone numbers will be sent out in the Large Final
Mailing, in case there's any difficulty locating the group or any
of our venues.

You'll also get a "Big Sister Emergency Hotline" number.

Big Sister volunteers needed:

Attention returnees: DLV wants you!

We are in need of volunteers to act as Big Sisters for those who
need them.

This is an excellent opportunity to give back some of what DLV has
given you! The most important qualification is the desire to help
others.

We are in particular need of Big Sister volunteers who will be in
town during the first days (Monday, Tuesday) of DLV week.

We are also interested in Big Sister volunteers who are first-time
returnees to DLV, those who still know exactly what it is like to
be a newcomer.

To volunteer, you can sign up to be a Big Sister on your registration
update screen. This is the link you received right after you registered.
Alternatively you can e-mail bigsister@geekbabe.com and state that you
would like to volunteer to be a Big Sister.

One thing we want to emphasize is that being a Big Sister will is not a
high-maintenance 24x7 job. You, as the Big Sister, are the one who sets
the limits as to what you do and for how much time. You can specify this
on the Big Sister sign-up screen. Yes, it's your vacation too and we
want you to enjoy it.

Hospitality Suite and Makeover appointments:

Makeover appointments with Spa Skin Style may now be made on line
and there is now a button on your registration update screen for
this.

Look for the new "Vendor Appointments" button.

Appointments are being taken for Tuesday thru Friday of DLV week.

Spa Skin Style will also be operating an informal hospitality
suite at the Imperial Palace for DLV attendees. Everybody will
be invited to stop by at will during the daytime hours of DLV
week.

SSS will also be offering a Basic Face workshop on Tuesday afternoon
and an Etiquette and Comportment workshop on Wednesday afternoon. You
can sign up for these at activity sign-up time which begins early
April.

Update on LOVE:

Mary Beth writes:

At the time we started booking for our group there were about 800
available tickets for the April 26th 7PM show that we will be
attending.

I called tonight for an update and there are 532 seats left for this
performance. If you are planning to go you probably shouldn't wait
until the day of show to book your seats.

You may reserve your tickets from the Mirage box office at 800-963-9637.
If you wish to sit with the DLV group, please ask for Section 209 on the
main floor or sections 306 or 304 in the balcony.

The annual Limousine Tour will depart from the Mirage shortly after
the Love show ends.
