September - October - November updates:

This is a combined September-October-November mailing. There was no
general mailing at the end of September, as this is our slow time of the
season with regard to news and updates for DLV 2005. The next general
mailing is planned for early December.

Plans are proceeding on schedule with regards to DLV 2005. Suggested
hotels will be announced early December. Express re-registration will
open in January and general registration will open in March.

Big news from Las Vegas is that there are several new bars and clubs
that will be open by DLV 2005, some of which specifically invite members
of the t* community, and we are planning to use some of these for our
various social activities. An announcement for one of these (Zingers)
appears below. Zingers opens October 31 (Halloween).

Attention golfers:

If you're a golfer and are interested in playing with the DLV group,
we're going to start the special golf mailing list a bit earlier this
year.

To join the golf list, just send a brief email to dlvgolf@geekbabe.com
or just reply to this mailing and say you want to join the golf list.

Feedback is now requested from the golfers regarding which day would be
preferable, Wednesday or Thursday, and which format, stroke or scramble,
is desired.

Michael Cagle in the news:

Our reigning Entertainer Of The Year, Michael Cagle, has been receiving
quite a bit of press attention lately.

This first item is probably not what Michael had in mind as far as what
publicity he would like to see. :)
