Diva Las Vegas 2011:

Welcome to those who just joined our mailing list. Plans have
just begun for Diva Las Vegas 2011 and we're excited about it
already!

Please see the items below for the latest goings-on.

Dates for DLV 2011:

We're currently in the process of selecting the dates for Diva
Las Vegas 2011 and we are asking for your input. The timeframes
we are considering are listed below. The vote will be taken in
October among the ORG members of voting status, and the DLV
2011 dates will be announced in early November.

The floor is now open for your comments, positive or negative,
regarding any of the following proposed timeframes for Diva
Las Vegas 2011. (in chronological order)

a. Sunday, March 20 thru Friday, March 25
b. Sunday, March 27 thru Friday, April 1
c. Sunday, April 3 thru Friday, April 8
d. Monday, April 25 thru Saturday, April 30
e. Monday, May 9 thru Saturday, May 14th

Alternatively you may use the e-mail interface into the DLV

A few notes on the process ...

1. We're not considering any timeframes other than those listed
above at the present time. Other timeframes will be considered
if and only if none of the listed timeframes are workable.

2. We're asking all to please focus your comments on the above
proposed timeframes and why you are in favor of any of them,
why you may be opposed to them, why they will or will not fit
into your schedule, your specific reasons for liking or
disliking any of the above, etc.

The Call For Comments period will remain open through mid
October.

DLV 2010 photo pages:

The Diva Las Vegas follow-up photo pages for DLV 2010 are
almost ready!

The exact date that the DLV 2010 follow-up pages will be ready
and on line is not known, but it will most likely be within
the next two weeks, and definitely before our next general
mailing is sent.

How do you tell if the photos from the latest event are on
line or not?

I'm glad you asked. :)

Simply look in the "Past Years" section of the main DLV page
on the web at: http://www.geekbabe.com/dlv/

If the latest year (2010) is listed, the follow-up pages are
on line. If not, they are not.

We have an excellent collection of photos this year, well
over 1500! The collection of golf photos is particularly
impressive this year.

Big thanks go out to all who answered our Call For Photos
and shared their images with the group!

Pinkfest:

Pinkfest 2010 is next month and YES, there's still time to
get in on it!

Pinkfest is another "Vacation, not a convention" which happens
in Chicago each October.

Pinkfest 2010 will be our TENTH annual event!

Pinkfest 2010 will happen from Wednesday evening, October 20,
thru Sunday, October 24.

Like DLV, Pinkfest offers a good mix of activities held in
both mainstream and alternative venues. Among our planned
activities this year are:

* Daily Lunch With Ginger. (Sound familiar?) :)
* Daily Happy Hour (full hour this year) :)
* Two vendor open house sessions.
* Roaring 20s dinner-theater.
* Visiting the Island Girls for one of their get-togethers.
* Optional Halloween party on Saturday.
* Optional TRANcinema on Saturday.

Of course there will be plenty of that Quality Social Time! :)
