Hotels- Riviera

I know Riviera is on the big list, but the last comment is from 2011. Has anyone had any more recent experience with them?

Their business is way way down. They are pretty much on an island with Circus and Slots-A-Fun due to the closures of Stardust and Frontier (and Sahara to an extent). They get some convention business from events at the LVCC but that's about it.

The good news is that they are about the cheapest place there is on the Strip now.

The Riviera is ok, I have stayed there in the past and it was fine.
The staff were great, The parking was excellent and Taxis go to and
from at a regular rate so if you have a deal then why not? The Buffet
is lousy and very limited and costly for what it was compiled of.

Unfortunately I was there for a lunch Last September and everything
around it looked like they were about to close down . It is also a bit
remote too and very far from the busier and more popular parts of the
Strip.

The Rio is still a decent price if you would like to stay closer to the
action and is very a short cab ride to the strip.. Katie
