Here is the best way. Post a note right here, and be very explicit as to exactly what you need.

You'll find that the only real challenge is getting a ride to your first major activity. Once you connect with the group, you will be able to meet many who will be "going your way" throughout the week.

To get that first ride, or the first few rides, just post a note here. Include enough detail so that somebody who has a vehicle (or who wants to share a taxi or something) will know if he/she can help.

A note such as "I am staying at {wherever} and I will be needing a ride to {whatever} about {some time} on {some day}. My e-mail is whatever@whatever.com and my cell phone is 702-555-2368" will usually get you some responses.

If you don't get any definite responses, repeat the note when we get to about one week prior to DLV. Peoples' plans will be more solid then.

Likewise, if you will be driving a vehicle to the major activities, it will be helpful to post a note to the effect of "I will be staying at {wherever} and I have three open seats. I'll be going to most major activities including ... My e-mail is ... and my cell phone is ..." etc.

I am homeless at the moment, but looking to get in the Holiday Inn on
Koval St. Behind Harras and the Quad.

I am looking to get a ride with someone and will of course share gas.

I would be interested in finding a carpool also. It would be nice if I
could find another girl that has a car and we can share a ride to the
different events or even do some things in town on our own. I will be
helping with gas money.

I am staying at Harrah's. I will be arriving on Saturday March 29th and
I will be leaving on Saturday April 5th.

Sharing rides like this helps to build friendship, safety in numbers and
confidence for when we go out all dressed up.

looking for someone to share gas and room at DLV, If you drive not
important the length of stay last least to get there for over 2 days. This

Hi Samantha, I will be staying at the Quad and flying in on Sunday around 1pm. Once I've picked up my rental car I would be glad to give you a ride downtown. Though I may miss the start, I hope to be joining the bar tour as well before organizing the scavenger hunt later that night.

Last year I asked for a regular car and they gave me a minivan. It was really useful for car pooling but I felt like a soccer mom! So this year I am going for a convertible. It should fit 1-3 people (not sure how much of a back seat I will get).
