Hi Annie! I'm beginning to transfer the schedule on the newsletter to a
daily planner in prep for the trip. I may have to re-check what I
signed up for due to possible alternative events happening at the same
time, which I may have signed up for both, and didn't really see the
time conflicts. I thought I'd write it here, in case others may have
blundered into the same conflicts:

On Wed Apr 23rd, Primm shopping conflicts with Brunch with Tina and with
HW classes unless we get back before 1pm. Both Brunch and HW open house
start at the same time, in the same Hotel.

On Thurs Apr 24, The luncheon at Bellagio conflicts with Glamour
Boutiques Open House and Passing Class.

On Thursday also, Another conflict and a question here: Dinner at HM at
7pm, with Jubilee at 7:30.

Should we move the times here so that those attending the Happy Hour and
Dinner has enough time to eat and go leisurely to the Jubilee show?

Jubilee also conflicts with {DLV Social Hour}

On Fri. Golf and Air Tours conflict On Sun Side Trip and High Tea
conflict

You are quite correct that there are some conflicting activities and some
two-tracks on the schedule this year. It was never intended that everybody
was to do everything ...

Uh-huh. You have to choose what you (most) want to do. Nothing is really
mutually exclusive, except perhaps shopping at Primm and dining with
Tina. HW Open House runs all afternoon.

> On Thurs Apr 24, The luncheon at Bellagio conflicts with Glamour
> Boutiques Open House and Passing Class.

Sorta. Again, GB Open House runs all afternoon.

> On Thursday also, Another conflict and a question here: Dinner at HM at
> 7pm, with Jubilee at 7:30.

It was assumed that the Jubilee people would not be eating at HM's.

> Should we move the times here so that those attending the Happy Hour and
> Dinner has enough time to eat and go leisurely to the Jubilee show?

Nope. Schedule is solid, for better or for worse.

> Jubilee also conflicts with {DLV Social Hour}

Well, you can do both, if you don't do the Limo Tour.

> On Fri. Golf and Air Tours conflict On Sun Side Trip and High Tea
> conflict

That is correct, one person cannot do both at the same time, unless ...
(Let's dooooo the time warrrp againnnnnn. It's just a jump to the left!)

For Sunday, the side trip and the high tea are so different that there
usually is not a rough decision as to which one (if any) somebody wants
to do.

We've had some two-tracked timeslots for a few years now. We'll probably
see more of this in the years to come.

Are we going to rent a room at the Del-Mar for the limo tour this
year? They certainly couldn't arrest us for trespassing if we're
"staying" there. They could force all of us guests to sign in, but that
would even funnier...OK Girls, get in line. We're all gonna sign in.
hehehe

Ya know, it would almost be worth it to ask everybody to chip in a buck
or less ... spare change would probably do it ... and rent one of those
rooms, even if just to have everybody crowd in there for a photo op. :)

Hi Annie! Thank you for the clarification on thursday and the
alternative activites we have this year!

Some activites, didn't have a sign-up registration, and is considered as
a 'if you want to go - just show up' type event.

I thought I would just send a friendly reminder out to some people like
me (or maybe its only me), that may be making a mistake and wanting to
go to activites that are on both tracks, but can only be physically at
one..... and don't realize this until too late, resulting in a no-show
to a registered signed up event ... unless they do alot of fast driving
(or time warp) to do both and get there in time. (ie Primm shopping and
HW classes) ok..ok.. for me it might still be a residual effect of last
years blonde night... or age ... or combo of both???

I can imagine what the red-shoe night effects will create ... :-)

Yes, we do have to be sensitive and considerate concerning our first
timers and those who are newly out. ...

Yes, they will be invited too! :)

FYI Girls and DLV'03 attendees:

First off, remember this is YOUR vacation and have a great time during
DLV. Like any vacation, one has to pick and choose what one wants to
do. While we would like to have all venue times available to every DLV
attendee, with the growth of DLV and the diversity of our attendees, we
on the DLVOrg committee must sometimes two-track some venues.

Pick what you want to do and what is most important to you is my
suggestion.

Personally speaking, I will be missing some DLV'03 venues in favor of
other DLV'03 venues that are two-tracked. Like you, I'd love to attend
each and every DLV'03 venue, however, timing and getting some sort of
rest and changing outfits, etc., well these all take time.

When we plan venues for DLV'03, we take these things into account,
however, some girls may, for example, want to go shopping at the mall
vs going to Hidden Woman, which is a T-safe venue. The mall is a
mainstream environment.

What we try to do at DLV is to offer venues for all attendees that are
comfortable at their own level.

Hope this helps to explain why we two-track some venues.

I look forward to you joining us at DLV'03!

Huggs,
Monique Monet

P.S. You'll probably meet me for I'm the primary person checking in
DLV'03 attendees and with the help of a couple of other of sisters,
giving you your name badge and answering any questions you may have
during DLV'03.

I think this would be a great idea, IMO. I only have once concern to
ya'll.. think about our first timers, OK?

Comments?
