Welcome to those who just joined the list or registered.

Please make your reservations for travel and accommodations right away
as space is getting tight, and get your activity selections in when you
get the sign-up mailing.

If you have any difficulty with the activity sign-up screen (one person
has reported problems) write in and we will send you a manual activity
sign-up letter.

14 day in advance air fares expire within the next few days!

Time to stop thinking about booking and start thinking about packing. :)

Please get your activity sign-ups in ASAP if you have not done so
already. Those who registered prior to last Thursday should have
received their sign-up mailing already. Those who registered on
Thursday or after will get them later today (Sunday).

Between now and DLV there will be only two more regular mailings to this
list. Next Sunday, April 13th., will be the last of the informational
and announcement mailings. The April 20 mailing will be for last minute
items and updates.

On Wednesday, April 16, we will be sending out our large final mailing.
This will have the final schedule and quite a bit of other important
information. (Hint: Print this out and read it on the plane.) This will
be sent out ONLY to those who registered and have completed their
activity selections.

We have a winner:

{fanfare} The winner of the DLV 2003 Ms. Free Drink Pageant is {drum
roll} Tina {cymbal crash}!

In the event Ms Free Drink is unable to perform her duties, the title
will pass on to the first runner-up, Samantha.

Second runner-up is Michelle (Atlanta -- we have 4 Michelles registered
this year).

For those who have no clue as to what this is referring to, read last
week's mailing again, very carefully. This (or something similar) will
be repeated at least once between now and DLV.

Getting to know each other:

I'm gonna kill several birds with one stone in this item.

We do get occasional requests for so-and-so's e-mail address, and lately
even such things as can we say who is coming from {town} or who has
attended SCC or something. The bottom line is that we cannot release any
information from our mailing lists or registration data under any
conditions. We told those who subscribed to our lists and who registered
for DLV that their info is confidential. We also decided a few years ago
that we would not do e-mail forwarding.

However, if you want to get to know some of the others prior to DLV, and
if you want to contact others, there are several methods you can use,
including:

1. We will be sending out another edition of our DLV 2003 e-mail directory
on Monday, April 14. This will be the last edition of the DLV 2003 e-mail
directory sent out prior to DLV 2003. This will be sent only to those
whose addresses appear in it.

To get your address in our e-mail directory, please send in a brief note
to dlv@geekbabe.com (or just reply to this mailing) and state you want
to be in the e-mail directory. Please state your name the way you want
it to appear and your address the way you want it to appear.

2. If you have a personal web site, send it in. We list these in each
issue of this announcement list.

3. Post your photo(s) on our "People Gallery" page. This is at:
http://www.geekbabe.com/dlv/gallery and has quite a few entries. You can
also post your e-mail and web site address here as well.

PLEASE DO NOT SEND PHOTOS TO THE LIST ADDRESS, IT WILL NOT WORK.

To send in your photos, please attach them to an e-mail message using any
of the standard methods and send to: annie@annie.net

You may send from 1 to 5 photos, with one being a clear face shot if
possible. If you send multiple photos, please state which one you want
on the main gallery page. No "adult" poses, please.

PLEASE DO NOT SEND PHOTOS TO THE LIST ADDRESS, IT WILL NOT WORK.

You may (optionally) also give us your personal web page URL (no
blatantly commercial or "adult" sites please) and your e-mail address.
Your e-mail address will be encoded on the page so it will be visible
by humans using most web browsers, but not easily identified to spam
harvesting robots.

4. If you want to ask who is coming from {town} or who has attended
SCC/FanFair/CGR/Pinkfest/Fall Harvest/whatever, or maybe who is a member
of Tri-Ess/RCGA/SBS/whatever, post a message on the Diva Las Vegas

Shopping day:

This week we feature our shopping trip to Primm Valley Mall (I guess the
official name for this is Fashion Outlet, Las Vegas), which will happen
on Wednesday, April 23. Primm Valley Mall is a large outlet mall south
of the Las Vegas metro area.

Hi.

I think it is about time I set the format for the Shopping Day as I am
the "Go To Girl" for this so Here it is.

11 am at The San Remo parking lot Exit off Tropicana to the east side
of The San remo, I will have a Diva Las Vegas or "D L V" sign on the
dash of my car, (Compact Rental unit)! Anyone who wishes to help out
by bringing their own rental or personal car and/or Mini Van is welcome
to do so. We will most likely leave at 11.20 or so and can pick up
some girls who are staying close by so please contact me at Flex Tuesday
night for any special arrangements. We can leave unnecessary extra
vehicles there and travel together in groups to Primm for the social
aspect.

We will likely split up into small groups on arrival at Primm for the
shopping part and if anyone is so interested we could do a lunch Buffet
there too.

Heads up on a few drop-dead dates coming up shortly:

Monday, April 14, 12:01am CDT is the deadline for additions and changes
to the DLV 2003 e-mail directory. This will be the last edition of this
that will be sent out prior to DLV 2003.

Wednesday, April 16 12:01am CDT is the cutoff for additions and changes
to ride-share lists (main registration screen). If you wish to
participate in the ride-share program, be sure you are staying at one of
our suggested hotels and have your hotel properly noted on your
registration.

Saturday, April 19, 12:01am CDT, is the cutoff for regular DLV
registration via the web. Those registering after will receive "last
minute instructions" which will allow partial participation in some
DLV activities.

This is also the deadline for all changes to registrations, including
activity sign-ups and changes to activities via the web. (That clickable
link you received in e-mail.) Changes after that date must be made in
person at DLV.

Area 51 tour update:

Aiko has re-done the math, using the accurate numbers for van rental and
the current area gas prices ($1.90-ish per gallon) and it looks like the
real-world cost for this will be close to $15 per person. We hope there
will be no objections to this.

As a reminder, the coordinators of this activity will be renting vans
(out of their own pockets) based on the number of sign-ups we have.
Please be courteous to your sisters (and brothers) and update your
sign-ups if you no longer plan to attend this activity. Thanks.

Unable to perform??!!? Hand me a microphone, I'm not passed out on the
floor yet. I may be cheap, but I'm never free. :-)

In turn, I will pass this complimentary libation on to the first DLV
girl who approaches me on Red Shoe Night and shows me her red shoes.
(Annie is not eligible.) If you need to see what I look like, see the

And don't forget Brunch at the Sahara at 1 PM during the week at DLV. I
promise to wake up and definitely be there Monday, Tuesday, and
Wednesday. After that, Brunch assumes a life of its own. Come in boy
mode or girl mode, it doesn't matter.

If you're not already out there bright eyed and spending money at the
fun shopping trips, fantastic open houses, and great airplane rides that
the DLV mavens have arranged (in other words, you overslept and missed
them again this year, you Bad Girl), then at least drag yourself into
the Sahara Buffet for some sustenance. Just look for the little sign
that says "DLV" like the airport limo drivers hold up. I'll hang around
outside the entrance of the Buffet (or wherever the line starts) until
1 PM, then I'll have it displayed at my table. You can always go back
to sleep for another hour afterwards..... like me. :-)
