It's getting close, and things are happening very quickly, but I'll try
to get you up to speed on what's going on.

The DLV 2003 schedule is sent out by e-mail each Sunday included in the
weekly announcement list mailing. Since you just registered on April 2,
you will get it this weekend in the regular mailing.

You will want to read up on the back mailings to catch up what's going
on. They are on line at:

Each one includes the schedule the way it stood at that time. As of now
it's still being tweaked.

You should have received the activity sign-up mailing by now. Please
complete this as soon as possible.

Of course, if you need to make travel or hotel reservations, be sure to
do that without hesitation, as prices are rising sharply and options are
diminishing.

Around the 16th of April you will receive the large final mailing which
will include the final detailed schedule and your personal list of what
you're signed up for. The announcement list mailing (URL above) sent
on the 30th of March discusses this.

Just take a few minutes, read over the back announcement mailings,
perhaps review some of the recent discussion, and you should get a good
handle on what is happening.

One thing I don't understand is where all these events are going to
happen? Will you need a ride or are they all close together? Sorry if
this is a stupid question.

They happen all over town. It's no real secret where the activities are
held, but the locations don't appear on the summary schedule. The main
detailed schedule in the large final mailing will have all locations,
as well as highly detailed driving directions, and exactly what to tell
a taxi driver if you're taking a taxi. (Yes, they are quite "safe" to
use in Las Vegas, the drivers have seen it all before and more so.)

Yes, in most cases you will need a ride. If you don't have a vehicle,
be sure you marked that you will need a ride in your registration.
