If you haven't ever seen People Of Walmart, it's worth a
view! It's so bad it's good! :)

Here's a good sample, and there's speculation that a few of
the photos at this link were taken at a Walmart about 1/2
mile from where I work. Surf here:

http://www.peopleofwalmart.com/?state=1&cat=46

Whenever I go there (which is not very often) I do see a
number of individuals who would qualify for POWM.

Ironically, though, one Walmart in Omaha, the one at 182nd.
and Wright, has a reputation of being ripe with eye candy!
Yes, there are exceptions. :)

Uh, it looks like that domain is for sale, if you would really
want it! :)

LOL, yeah, I was curious ... :)

I'm not familiar with the acronym POWN. Please enlighten me. I too get
sent these "People of Wal-Mart" photos and find them so bad I can't help
but laugh out loud. I just hope that whenever I go into a Wal-Mart
dressed somebody doesn't have their camera aimed and focused on me. But
then, I'd never go out in public looking like any of these poor slobs
who either just don't give a damn how they appear in public or, sadly,
think they are the hottest looking thing that ever walked into a
Wal-Mart store....Rosada

M as in Mike, not N as in November. :) People Of WalMart. :)

There's a lesson to be learned here!

You know how people react when they see these POWM photos?

Well, that's the same type of reaction that people have when
they see a middle-aged 250lb 6'5" CD in a miniskirt, fishnets,
and 5" heels who tries to come off as that cute little
twentybopper!

If you doubt me, just try out that "stealth" exercise I
mentioned a while back.

Sorry if this is not what anyone wants to hear.

This (why it happens at Walmart and not elsewhere) has been
discussed on a local board, and it's agreed that it happens
more frequently at Walmart than at other shops or other
public venues in the area. For some reason, these people
feel comfortable appearing like that at Walmart.

Why? I sure don't know. Monster truck shows and Larry The
Cable Guy performances were also mentioned as other places
where similar looks can be found, but I wouldn't know, I
have never been to either, and don't plan to. :)

Oh well ... :)

That person should probably just be shot for the tattoos alone.

In reality, it doesn't really matter what people wear when they are by
themselves, if they want to look weird, stupid, ugly or whatever thats
their prorogative and if that rocks their boat then fine.

At DLV we are mostly concerned with how the world will react to our
group because of the manner some one is dressed. If you wore that to a
DLV event, you would draw undesired attention to the group not just
yourself. That makes it a group problem and as such puts lots of other
people in the group at risk, that is what we are trying to avoid. We
don't want to step on anyone's creativity, if you want to dress badly or
in bad taste, go by yourself, its fine, if you want to hang out with the
most amazing group of TG individuals on the earth (DLV) then dress
appropriately for the venue. It's pretty easy.

Love ya,

Gina
