Proposed DLV dates - feedback requested, etc. ...

All of the dates are just as good for me as any others ... I will be
traveling in Asia a lot this year and have no idea yet when I might be
in USA.

I'm good as of now with all the dates, but I have several thoughts.

First, I'd like to delete the week in May, for several reasons:

last time in May, it was too hot, and starting that Monday would mean
traveling on Sunday, which is Mother's Day, which I'd rather not do,
especially from a peace at home standpoint.

I also vote for the last week in April, but that may be problematic as
well, as that Sunday is Easter. I don't have a problem with that, but
others may.

I suspect that the last week will be the least popular of the
proposed dates, both from the (real or perceived) impresssion
that once the May threshold is passed it becomes ungodly hot
in Las Vegas, and due to the proximity to Mothers Day, which
has historically been a "third rail" for us.

We've held DLV immediately after easter in the recent past
with little if any griping or push-back. (2003 and 2006 IIRC,
but I would have to do some quick moon phase calculations to
be sure.) :) It did not appear to impact our turnout at all,
plus it assured us that discount Peeps would be available
in abundance. :) :)

I am afraid that start dates after the proposed dates beginning in March
will preclude my being able to be involved with DLV in 2011.

I would prefer any of the first 3 dates suggested, March and Early
April, with April 3rd to 8th being the top pick._ The week after Easter
will not work for me at all and May is too hot (2 years ago was way too
hot too be enjoyable).
