Hi,

I have been to Vegas a lot and due to my old age...lol.. I can't
remember how the weather is during this time period.

I am buying some clothes and its fun but want to know incase I have to
buy Ski's lol. is it going to be hot...cool... or cold I guess my
question is. I have never been out of my closet before and I have one
foot out the door and the other on a banana peel.

I am scared as hell but was scared a lot of times in my life and I got
thru them.... As a Girl from Vegas said to me on line.... Hon its vegas
and nobody cares..... so I click my heels together... lol... and repeat
nobody cares... nobody cares... cant wait

Well, uh ... I think you said most of what I was gonna say. :)

Forecast for tonite: Dark, turning dark to moderately light toward
morning.

But seriously, days are usually warm, highs in the 80's, sometimes 90's,
nights are cool, lows in the 60's, sometimes 50's.

At DLV 1997 I remember it being VERY hot during the day, however. One of
our people was photographing us outside the Liberace Museum and I thought
I was gonna melt.

But it's a dry heat. (Yeah, and so's a blast furnace!) :)

This question comes up every year and I always give the Texas
perspective (where it's warm most of the year, hot half the year,
and never snows in most parts of the state).

This will be my 5th year at DLV, but I've been traveling to LV since 84
and regularly since 92. It always seems cold at night (compared to
Texas) in April and May to me, and when you stay there several days,
there is always a front that blows through (usually accompanied by
dust) with a couple of very, very windy days (messes up your hair) that
makes it seem even cooler at night.

But this cooler weather isn't a bad thing to me - it lets me wear long
sleeves and I think most DLV girls benefit from that. Check out the DLV
pictures from previous years and you'll see what I mean. And of course,
I am largely a night owl often out until 5 or 6 AM (thus seldom out for
the daytime activities) so the casual dress for daytime stuff doesn't
worry me so much.

As Annie will tell you, I really don't dress down for daytime casual
very well. :-)

Looking forward to meeting you at DLV.

Hugs,

-- Tina

Hi Bev,

As a two year veteran of DLV, I agree with all the comments you've seen
in the DLVDisc group from Michelle, Annie and Tina. Daytimes can be warm
to hot with low humidity. Evenings do tend to get cool. I would suggest
for your afternoons out, something light and comfortable. For evenings,
plan on having a wrap or sweater or even a light jacket available.

I, too, also look forward to meeting you. You'll have a GREAT time!

Huggs,
Monique Monet

Don't forget lotion, and conditioner for your hair, if permanently
attached :)

When we went there a couple of weeks ago, the air was so dry that my
hair went flat and stuck to my face, and every time I touched it it
crackled. That drives me nuts.
