Six months out:

First of all, welcome to those who just joined our list. If you have any
questions or concerns, please let us know, just reply to this mailing.

We just passed the six month mark, and our planning is still well ahead
of schedule. See the item below regarding the moving up of some of our
milestones and checkpoints.

Our schedule continues to expand, and our volunteers have done a great
job of planning what will most certainly be a very memorable event. We
have a very eager and enthusiastic volunteer team this year! Thanks go
out to our volunteers for planning DLV 2023!

Second major gathering - Please take a quick survey:

Below are some details on our planned second major gathering for DLV
2023.

We want to get more of a handle on how you, the attendee base and
potential attendees feel about this proposed activity, therefore we are
rolling out a quick survey which will be announced this weekend.

Please read the summary items below and let us know if this is something
you would like to do at our upcoming October event.

This is intended to be one of our most-attended gatherings for the DLV
2023 event. It will consist of a happy hour, optional dinner, and plenty
of time for socializing.

The proposed venue will be Virgil's BBQ, which is located in the Linq
Mall.

We've used Virgil's for our multi-track dining for several years, and
it's always been highly rated on the enjoyment scale on our post-event
surveys.

We would have the upstairs dining area, full menu, regular prices.

Cash bar in the reserved area, again, beverages at regular prices.

Those not wishing to purchase a meal will be welcome to attend to
socialize (and to drink, of course).

We will be seated at tables for 4-6, with one check per table.

The DLV team coordinating this activity will be requesting payment in
cash to speed up and simplify the payment processing.

Activity and schedule notes:

The big news this month includes the plans for a second major gathering,
the details of which appear above.

One other significant item of note is that the long-standing Limo Tour
will be returning for DLV 2023! The covid situation has cooled down to
the point that such an activity will again be safe and practical.

We will begin publishing a working schedule summary in these mailings
just as soon as a few scheduling questions have been answered.

Monday afternoon and evening have been confirmed as our "Downtown Day"
with several fun activities planned for the Downtown Las Vegas area.

Tuesday will include TopGolf and our first major gathering, including
happy hour, dining with full regular menu at regular prices, and time
for socializing at the Bahama Breeze which we have used for major
gatherings for 15 years.

Wednesday will include Pickleball, a side trip to Seven Magic Mountains,
and the Limo Tour in the evening.

Golf will be happening on Thursday, followed by our annual Pool
(swimming and sunbathing, not billiards) Party.

Our second major gathering (see above) is tentatively planned for
Thursday evening.

Friday will include a shopping trip to the Fashion Show Mall, the first
Day Drinking Class of the season, mult-track evening dining, and an
informal common gathering.

Saturday and Sunday will be our Extended Event, with another Day
Drinking Class, music and dancing downtown, and group dining.

More activities are in the works! Stay tuned for details.

Up and coming:

Since we are well ahead of our target dates, we will be rolling out
DLV 2023 registration starting June 1. This is only a month away.

Most returning attendees will be able to use the minimum-click
re-registration to quickly and conveniently get on the roster for
DLV 2023. Most returnees can expect their re-registration emails to
arrive on or about June 1.
