Gipsy status?

We received two somewhat contradictory reports on the Gipsy nightclub.

One says closed, the other says renamed.

Anyone know for sure? I do want to get the Big List properly updated.

Gypsy is actually closed.
After it was on Bar Rescue and was redone the owner wasnt happy the way it turned out and closed it a short time later.
No plans on reopening it anytime lately.

LOL, I take it that it won't be on the Bar Rescue Tour then.

That's actually too bad. Gipsy was, for many years, the unquestioned "anchor" of the Triangle District. I haven't been there since maybe 2005 or so, but it was always a fun place.

Checking the record, it's also the oldest and longest-standing business ever removed from our Big List for closure.

I believe Las Vegas Lounge closed 2 weeks ago.
