I can't believe you aren't going to Buddy Guy's for some serious Jazz, I
went there a few years ago by myself and nobody even cared, and the Jazz was
amazing....

Wishing I could be there.

Come to Chicago with us next year and nominate Buddy Guys. Chicago is a big
place with so much to do and so little time to do it. There are limitations
and we do have to sleep a little!

That is the great thing about Chicago. We can always try out new things
and never run out of something novel.

Why not this year?

I mean they do have air service from San Diego to Chicago. I think so, anyway. If not you can always take the Pine City Stage to El-Lay and catch a flight there. :)

Hmmmm ... I think of Buddy Guy as blues, not jazz.

Hi all,

What was I thinking, Blues "is" correct, or is that "are" correct?

A truly funky place. Last time I was there Buddy Guy actually
performed, what a jam session.

I wish I had a handle on my personal schedule, I'd love to join you.

Love,

Gina

I personally like to go to Smoke Daddy's for my Blues and Jazz. They
have amazing BBQ and great sweet potato fries with their free llive
music every day.

For August they had $3 draft Mondays and $2 Miller products on Wed. as
well as 1/2 price burgers on Thur. They are located at 1804 W. Division
St. in Chicago.

I really like the Drake Hotel's Coq d'Or. I have been there many times.
It has fantastic cocktails. It is a classic spot in Chicago - It has the
second liquor license following prohibition in Chicago, after the
Berghoff... I love the atmosphere. It can definitely get crowded on a
Friday evening because it is not a very big place, so the earlier we get
there the more likely we can get a table.
