Spam from the Pinkfest list ...

Unfortunately it's been confirmed that a spammer (pump-n-dump stock scam) successfully relayed a spam message to the Pinkfest list using an acknowledged but not very well known issue with one of the mailing list utilities we use.

Thanks to the feedback provided by those on this list we've identified the issue and believe it's now corrected, not only on this list but on many other lists hosted on the same platform.

If you ever receive unwanted e-mail and believe that it's traversed one of our servers, please forward it ASAP, with the complete headers ("display full headers" on many mail programs) to abuse@geekbabe.com and/or tech@geekbabe.com
