Hi Ginger,

Not sure how much of Pinkfest I will be able to attend but if I can
catch up withy any of you I will. Having been off work since March I am
limited by how much I can do right now.

Not sure if any of you have seen this but I thought that it was the
Pinkfest group that was organizing this. I should have realized that
this is not what the group is into. It looks like it might be a good day
to stay away from Hunter's if you dislike any publicity!

Hope to see all of you this week,

Allison

Has anyone seen this article?

http://chicagoist.com/2009/10/15/tranny_storm_headed_to_suburban_gay.php

A storm is a-brewing in Elk Grove Village. A great big tranny storm.
Hunters Nightclub, a suburban gay bar that gained international media
attention earlier this year by instituting a door policy banning patrons
whose ID photos do not match their gender presentation, is the subject
of an activist demonstration planned for Friday, October 23, at 11 p.m.
Transgendered Chicagoans and their allies will "storm" the bar dressed
in drag and gender-variant gear as a challenge to the policy they (plus
the ACLU and gay media nationwide) consider discriminatory.

Allison,

We will not be demonstrating and at that time will on the other side of
town watching the longest running show in Chicago, Co-Ed Prision Sluts!
However, we are engaging in a non-confrontational boycott of Hunters as
we had originally considered going there, but prefer to go where we will
be welcome.

I am disappointed in Hunters. I have always enjoyed and been well
treated when I have been there. In addition, I understand they have been
supporters of BeAll. It seems to me there are other better ways to
manage those who are into drugs and prostitution which may be behind
this.

I hope you can join us for some of the activities!

Ginger
